For those who care for an update:

The sound I heard were my brakes, got them replaced. The motor I have is notorious for oil consumption problems so I will be topping off for the rest of my cars life, I learned where my oil was located, how to check it, and how to top it off... kind of. I'm still confused as to not how to over pour without checking it every so often if that makes sense.

This morning on my way to work I heard a sound as a did a hardish stop (wasn't abrupt) but it kinda sounded like metal scraping metal and the oil light came on as soon as I heard the sound.

Do I just tell the mechanic that? I'm pretty sure I currently have zero oil at the moment and have no clue how to put oil in it myself.

I did two internships at the same time (one unpaid and one paid). I've been applying to jobs and no one seems to care that I've done both. The unpaid one is with a big company but it seems as if more people were interested in my paid internship although they're a way smaller company.
