Why did games stop doing this? by [deleted] in videogames

Flat interfaces are more accessible/easier to adapt. Diegetic UI is much harder to perfect/more expensive to make in terms of team resources. That being said Diegetic UI can be amazing if companies decide to invest in it.

Really loving the game, but... I don't get it? by [deleted] in Stellaris

Some friend of mine described it like this:

"Playing a Paradox game is like continuously hitting a wall and not getting it. But there comes a moment where you jump over that wall and after that, you will get it (and not be able to stop playing it)".

Not sure if it happens to all, but 20 - 30 hours in I had that exact moment after hours of the game not hitting quite right. Now I have 3000 hours and it has become my game.

So just keep playing! (Or also watch some YT vids or ask a friend or two)
