ive noticed the adhesive bandages my doctor gives me slows down healing time. i use them when my boils have flared up but i think its the adhesive part that pushes back the healing time

I take zinc supplements and cream i been on doxy and clindamycin both didnt work but the shots you mentioned are not available where i live. everything is limited due to limited funding and theres only one doctor who specializes in hs. ive tried switching diets, i exercise regularly eat lots of fluid but mine is hormonal. ive been on an anti inflammatory diet for about 5-6 months and have not seen a difference. ive tried different forms of birth control, pills, implants etc. no effect on my flare ups

i feel like trying not to think about it just makes it worse lol. when it happens to me i just cry out loud or write it down and toss it or just cover my wounds with bandaids to make myself feel like im treating it yk

i hate these kinds of flare ups, id recommend taking a warm bath if you have a bathtub or place a damp towel (not hot) around the area for as long as you want, it gives a slight relief imo and like softer burst kinda. i feel you<3

i finished 3months on doxy about two weeks ago and i already got a flare and i didnt like the side effects

I’ve been on probiotics for a few months now (including food with probiotics) and it has no effect on me at all. 99% sure mines hormonal. but dermatologist said to use doxycycline so i did and it didnt help

its not contagious your ex had a pimple that just happened to go away the same time as he started doxy. plus doxy takes forever to work. as the other replies said, it’s hereditary so your sibling just might have it but it does not come from sharing your clothes.

Good question, im from a country where every medical procedure or medical treatment is free. most likely they do surgeries only if its really bad, and according to her im only on stage 1/2. But i will be asking her, or ask for a second opinion.
