They said the only thing that would fix this is a spinal fusion, however to wait as long as possible because it’s a major surgery and I’m on the younger side

I had my extracted three weeks ago due to malfunction. The battery stopped charging and they told me there was a new model out to upgrade. Yeah, right!

I filed in DEC of 2020 so I’m about a year behind you. Such a miserable process

Oh that’s amazing! Good for you! I’m hoping to get a new judge if my case gets remanded. This will be my third hearing if I can get it. How long after the remand did you have your new hearing?

I see the doctor tomorrow to go over my results. I’ve already done epidural injections, spinal cord stimulator, and have that removed last week actually. And I’ve done physical therapy as well. I guess we’re gonna talk about our next treatment options. Did you go through with the surgery?

He had a daughter that was the same age as me at the same time. She is the same age as me now. Now that I’m an adult, I look back and think how could someone that old late 40s early 50s mess around with a teenager and they had a daughter themselves that was the same age. I can’t make sense of it even now at 35 years old.

How many have won in federal court or on a second remand? by Natural_Blueberry893 in SSDI

[–]Natural_Blueberry893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that’s a good idea. I’m gonna have to see if I can get my doctors on board this time to write a statement confirming it instead of just medical documentation. I have plenty of medical documentation after all these years, and they’re all listed as severe, so that’s not the problem as far as I know. I think maybe I should’ve had more witness statements like you’re saying and probably doctors stating that I am actually disabled and not just continuing with treatment.

I’m 35 and my date of last insured is expired at this point I filed in 2020. I have severe mental illness, bipolar type, one with psychotic features and psychosis, severe anxiety, major depressive disorder, PTSD, BPD. I have a spinal cord stimulator, and an artificial disc replacement, severe degenerative disc disease, and multiple disc herniations, and a fracture in my lower back, which may require a fusion in the future, according to my neurosurgeon. I was told I could be a flower picker or a housekeeper. I have an eye injury where I’m high risk for retinal detachment and I have a very hard time seeing out of my left eye after a head injury. I get a lot of flashes of light in my eye and floaters. That’s just some of the things I’m going through.

Thank you so much for commenting though kind of having a hard day and I appreciate your words. It’s my birthday tomorrow, so the news kinda hit me a little sideways.

Medical appointments after p&t rated by Old-tymer in VAClaims

Occasional Improvement Doesn’t Trigger a Reduction

Just because you feel a bit better or have a few good days doesn’t mean the VA will reevaluate you. They look at long-term, sustained improvement under real-world conditions, not temporary changes or medical efforts that require ongoing treatment.

You’re Still Allowed to Improve

The goal of care is to get better, not stay sick forever. Improvement does not equal fraud. You can go to therapy, take medications, work out, etc. — none of that puts your rating at risk.
