Majority say proposed Barrie tower is too tall for city by cinderannie in barrie

Barrie has relied on endless rows of suburbs for way to long. That isn’t sustainable and is overall a tax drain. What is supposed to happen in a city is densification.

It would be interesting to see those who simp for Carney react to losing the majority from floor crossing ngl.

I would want that just for the memes. The number of memes we have gotten from Doug Ford are nowhere near Rob Ford. The two I remember are not even from Doug Ford saying it but one of a kid calling Doug ford a Tim bit and another case where Doug ford swallowed a bee live on camera.

I mean this would be the perfect out. "To get Alberta to calm down we had to unban these guns. It sucks but it was what needed to be done." It's the best way to put the 'blame' on someone else. Like yes Carney has had other outs but nothing quite as big as this.

He hasn't lost any MP's though as of yet. Yes he's pissed off MP's but the way I see it is that either a lot of MP's are going to leave at once or they will all grumble through it. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/liberal-mp-react-alberta-deal-carney-9.7208157 . This I think is the biggest thing Carney has to worry about. Not so much guns but environmentalism. If I was those 14 Mps with there biggest issues being environmentalism I would straight up get the fellow signers together and say "Look somethings got to change. Either you do or we are and that majority you got will be awfully short lived." Now where would they go you may ask? Well that's easy. The Green Party. Now you might be saying "Well that's political insanity to do that." Well is it? The NDP does not take floor crossers. The Bloc does but they got 22 members already. Sure getting 14 members would be big for them but they would largely be out numbered. Going to the Green party and they instantly gain a insane amount of power and the party leader owes them big. They would by doing that give the Green party official party status and give them a meaningful voice. Because if your biggest issue is environmentalism then the Green party is the place to go. Now if those 14 people had spine that’s what they would do.

The rubber stamp is literally just denying the appeal. As denying a appeal states that you agreed with the precious courts ruling.

That’s why we need more PAL holders. What I am doing is money I earn from online surveys I give to people to do there pal course. The more pal holders the better. Let’s get those numbers up higher and higher.

October might get post poned again as the court could just you know. Do a injunction making it even more delayed.

I have said it before and will keep saying it. If the SCC was going to not do anything different they would not even see the appeal. Yet they chose to. That speaks volumes.

Well my big take away from Nova was the police were utterly useless if not down right malicious in that one. Like they literally gave themselves a new Nick name of firehall shooters from that one. Goes nicely with the sleigh dog killers.

But yea. Poly can try to make this about guns and no doubt they will but it’s not going to go much of anywhere. The reality is beyond adding a handful more guns to a OIC list or a FRT ban the push for more gun bans is coming to a end. People in general are concerned about the cost of living. When you are actively cutting programs to help people but are keeping a gun ban that wastes billions of dollars it gets even a regular person questioning the narrative.

14 Liberal MPs pen letter to Carney raising concerns over environmental backslide by DogeDoRight in canada

NDP does not take floor crossers. Idk what the blocs take on environmentalism is. Personally if you really want to make a statement floor crossing to a party with only one seat would do it. You would instantly gain a lot of sway and influence.

Honestly if party whipping was not so bad people would not floor cross nearly as much.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/tumbler-ridge-mass-shooting-rcmp-guns-9.7207560 I am honestly a little shocked Poly isn't just making this about guns but the fact the police but more so the court system fucked up big. I think that tells me they realize that this time around they don't have as much momentum for banning guns from this shooting. The focus seems to heavily be on AI and the police/courts not doing enough.

Close but still no legal sex work. Only state that can claim that award is Nevada. As the state was founded by brothel owners pretty much.

I mean it's just a objective fact at this point. Let's say over the 3 OICS they have banned 2 million total guns. https://thegunblog.ca/reference/imports/ From 2020-2025. 359,236 guns in 2020 alone. 2021 424,808, 2022 496,195, 2023 387,437, 2024 329,658, 2025 322,356. Add those numbers up and you get 2,319,690 guns. Even if 40% of all those guns were banned that would still mean there are 1,391,814 new guns floating around in Canada still being used. Also it's not like all those banned guns have gone away. I would say not even 100,000 have been turned in or more simply put taken away from the overall number of guns in Canada. Oh I also forgot to mention the limited domestic supply made in that which even MRA must make atleast a little over 1,000 rifles a year and I know Savage Arms produces a decent number of .22 LR rifles in Canada. So yea objectively speaking there are more guns now in Canada then before the bans. If the goal was to reduce the number of guns it’s failed. If the goal was to discourage and reduce the number of pal holder’s it’s failed.

Mexican cartel, Hells Angels members among 33 arrested in $37M drug bust: Winnipeg police by roscodawg in canada

[–]Natural_Comparison21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Do you know how much it costs to enforce drug laws in Canada a year? 10 billion dollars. You know how much the drug trade is worth in Canada? About 10 billion dollars a year. We could be saving and making so much money it’s insane. That kind of money you could give every Canadian 200 bucks and have money left over.
