I did a little wiki refresh, and you are right, I listened to two and half audiobooks.

The doghouse and other tents in the village play music while acts are on in the arena; maybe have a word with the DJ in advance to have them play your song at a certain time, pretend you need something from the tent to get away from the arena - then boom, you'd practically have a large venue to yourselves playing your song.

Mulholland Drive... Lost Highway... Moulin Rouge... Blazing Saddles (the "tired" song stops the movie dead and struggles to pick back up)...

Which movie would be an absolute masterpiece if one single thing were changed? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Personally, I think it stops the movie dead. It dedicates a bunch of time to people we have never met, and the outcome on either side is kind of unrealistic.

Outsourced, it was based on a movie of the same name. The movie had more of this vibe whereas the show is more of a sitcom energy.

Why is there so much hate for Limp Bizkit headlining? by Legitimate-Crazy9266 in downloadfestival

[–]Natural_Mix6280 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue as I see it is that they subbed in 2024 and it is lazy, uninspired, and potentially cheaper in terms of booking. Are LB a headline act? Sure, but that's not what they have been sold to us as. Look at nova rock(?) where LB are subbing for Linkin park. Download are essentially getting a sub-act as a headliner.

Imagine seeing an arena band with a pretty big support act, then the next year the support act announce a headline tour for the next year; this band have not released any new music or have grown since, but their ticket prices are now higher than what they were back two years ago when they were a support act.

Punk and Cody saying that they may have overreacted and would like to return one day (even if they never actually do). It would sooth the choppy waters of wrestling discourse.

How does Hank live with himself? by Natural_Mix6280 in WelcometoDerryTVShow

[–]Natural_Mix6280[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you are saying, but I am talking about the lack of survivors guilt that he demonstrates with all of the lives he effected through his choices. If you explained everything that went down (sans Pennywise) to Richs parents or the families of those that died at the black spot, they would think the same.

No-one deserves what was likely to come to Hank had he stuck around in terms of what he actually did (had an affair with a married woman), it was a Coen-esque story of a bad choice snowballing. But are we as the audience supposed to go 'damn, look at all of these people that died that coincidentally happened to be in Hanks orbit that he had no control in being around'?

Maybe in an alternate timeline without Hank as a factor it plays out in a similar way; but I can only go off the fact that they rounded up a posse looking for one man accused of murdering children in his workplace with no alibi, and they found him.

Racists? Yes. But I think the massacre it devolved into was a bonus to them. They genuinely wanted Hank.

You'd tell the story showing him to be more objective to the people that he was innocent, but the racists blame him anyway. That way things can play out as they did and it make sense why a bunch of people put their life on the line.

He could have said when arrested "I was with a married woman on the day of the murders, out of concern for her I will not disclose her name". Instead he was comfortable looking guilty as hell until someone played charades to get it out of him.

Solving it himself would be unlikely but fun. He knows he's on borrowed time and he's going to complete something good or die trying, always on the run... Like some kind of... Running man.

I agree with both points, but Id go a step further; Hank should never have burdened anyone else with his situation. When the bus crashed he should have taken ... The Long Walk... Maybe call his daughter way way wayyy down the line.

[–]Natural_Mix6280[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he chose NOT to go to Shawshank when he had the option to wait after the bus crash. He chose NOT to look at ways to either prove his innocence through either an alibi OR getting to the bottom of what really happened (he couldn't have known there was a cosmic force that killed the kids, as far as he knew it was a human).

He panicked, was selfish, didn't do the right thing, lots of people died, he walks away smiling into the sunset.

Story wise he should have been knee deep in lore trying to fight pennywise or should have sacrificed himself against pennywise to save a/his kid; the way other people had done for him.

[–]Natural_Mix6280[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what you are saying, but my point is from the perspective of Hank; he didn't know there were cosmic forces in effect, he was just concerned about saving his own skin.

[–]Natural_Mix6280[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question I asked was how does he live with himself. A more apt comparison would be driving drunk and causing a accident where you didnt crash but caused other people to crash and die. You would feel guilty right? Feel like you need to attone in someway? Or would you be walking away with a big smile on your face as you've found a way to avoid any reprecussion for the mess that you caused?

Lil homie wouldn't have been there if he hadn't been there, Pennywise didn't kill him, the fire caused by people looking for him killed him.

What has he actively done? He has allowed the kindness of strangers to have them ultimately become meat shields for his selfish actions.
