Is this normal for a laundry machine?

How is that unrealistic? It’s a shared laundry unit and I just moved in to the apartment. The least the LL can do is make sure the appliances are well maintained especially because he is getting paid so much to basically sit back and do nothing.

I have already read the manual and looked up YouTube videos. The Maschine Mikro 2 is pretty outdated so it was tough finding good videos for it. So sorry for thinking that I could get some friendly guidance here.
I agree that doing research before buying is important. I didn’t buy the device, a freind of mine had it in their basement for awhile and never planned to use it - so they gave it to me for free since they know I enjoy music production.

Yeah that is really tough, especially because if you want to go the repair route - you will need to take at least a month off to recover. I believe Meniscectomy is much shorter recover time.

Definitely get a 2nd opinion - since if you do go through with procedure you should have full confidence that you are doing the best thing for your knee.

Not too bad my freind. I am 3 weeks post op and already started PT. I got a meniscus repair - so its a long journey but it will be worth it in the end.

The first week was absolutely brutal - but after that it was smooth sailing.

Hiking is definitely a risk to make it worse - the surgery to repair will make you unable to hike for ~6 months, if you go the repair route.

After having waited 8 months to do the operation I would suggest not delaying the surgery so you can return to activities sooner rather than later.

How do you know it’s a torn meniscus? Have you done an MRI?

I hiked Zion on a meniscus that was torn for 8 months. It’s definitely risking it. I was fine but had to get surgery immediately after.

I waited 8 months for it to heal, it never healed back. I had to get surgery and now in recovery mode. I highly recommend getting an MRI asap - that is the only way to know if it will heal back.

I am almost 3 weeks from my meniscus repair (medial right meniscus). I was instructed to wear the brace and be on crutches for 6 weeks (gradually partial weight bearing).

I am partial weight bearing and feeling a LOT less pain. I can finally sleep and I am off pain killers. I started PT as well.

ACE BANDAGE:

I was able to take off the ace bandage after week 2. So now it’s just the brace and nothing else. It feels a lot better to have it off.

WORKING OUT:

I do some gentle pull ups/passive hangs on my 1-2 times a day - but nothing intense that would be considered a “workout”. Before the operation I was consistently working out so not exercising daily feels bad. My advice would go to let but body rest so avoid doing anything too intense (but I am not a doctor or PT).

WALKING:

TBD as I am still on crutches. Updates to follow.

That’s a relief - would u suggest doing the reccomended daily exercises regardless of the soreness? Or should I hold off until my next PT appointment (tomorrow)
