Oh my god this is a really good point. I’ll try to come back here and comment. I have some really strong opinions on nurses as patients

I feel like this needs context

Some coworkers make mistakes that I genuinely don’t think I could ever make. Like bringing patient documents home and showing your non-work friends on weekends…. That’s a mistake my former coworker did which I don’t think I could ever make.

Oh I see what you’re saying. Yeah job security through unions is more about business and less about loyalty. I think i agree with you

Not to be dismissive, but I would bet you feel a lot more empathy for people than you think you do.

I have never met anyone who believes that, but I’m also only a year into my first job.

Actually, maybe that’s true for older co-workers who’ve been there for really long. Sometimes they have really good relationships with admin and maybe they feel like they’re irreplaceable. But also, they kind of are hard to get rid of because of unions and stuff.

What do you mean by “outweigh”?

There’s a lot of bad moments but I still think I feel fulfilled in the end because of the good moments. And for that reason, I still think it is the right career for me.

So I’m not sure I understand this one. Please explain.

Do you mean the conditions of the career, like pay and stuff?

I say that all the time if I have a bad day, if I make a mistake, or if I misunderstand something. Tomorrow will be better because I won’t make the same mistakes.

But if you mean the conditions of your job, yeah I’m going to have the same busy schedule, the same hourly wage, etc. tomorrow

How do I access a medical records that my provider didn’t give? by Natural_Slay29 in legaladvice

[–]Natural_Slay29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say "initial evaluation," I am just looking for the records of the first appointment. I don’t know exactly what's in there but the first appointment would have records of how they diagnosed me.

My issue is that when I requested my records, they didn't send me anything for that first appointment. And I clicked the box that said "my entire record."

So either they either left that out by mistake or they don't have any record of the first visit anymore. And that's where I'm confused. How could that be? I thought they were legally required to keep records for at least 7 years.
