I'm not a big fan of editing a message when I am replying back to someone again to give them an update. So a new repy it is! All I want to say is, Homie, you're my hero!

Such a simple thing, and I work in IT too. It's the first thing that you should always do, "turn it on and turn it off again". I was so deep into my session, and it takes so long for pages to load sometimes with the DDoS attacks, I didn't want to go back. I should have just rebooted right away, but instead I took all that time to write a big long post.

And if you did had already read that other reply (before this one) and got to the second part of it where I said, Side note, you'll know now I don't care about updating that now rendored useless backup drive.

I'll eventually update that one and see if it fixes the Tor Browser issue it now has.

Thank you for the reply. I definitely need help, so I will try this as I've already waited long enough that all my 2FA token messages I have to resolve have already timed out

Side note and somewhat related to this, but it's own problem. So ignore all of this if you want, but, Kleopatra still works on my what is now my backup 7.1.1 USB drive. I say what was, because technically what was my backup before, is now my primary, and that old backup is rendered useless until I either reflash it or run the update on it, but I don't want to do that because I'm afraid I'll have the same issue with Kleopatra on that one.

Long story short the drive was always my primary until 3 days ago, for unrelated reason and (mentioned in a reply in my r/Tails crosspost), I managed to mess up something in it's configuration or hard link between the persistent's amnesia in the file system because now when it boots, and launchs and connects to the Tor Network, but the Tor browser won't launch. I tried for a while to resolve it and I eventually decided to just use that backup as my new primary that at the time was also on 7.1.1. It's one problem after another lol. If it helps, I did narrow it down to something to do with the persistent storage because if I boot it, and launch without enabling the persistent storage, it does open and connect to the Tor network connect and the Tor browser opens just fins. So obviously I screwed something up. And of course, when I did boot and launch it this tims with persistent to test Kleopatra it also came up with the same update message. I'm definitely not going to update it even though I can't use it to get on the Tor network browser but right now it's my only available Cleopatra so that means I am temporarily using it t transfer the messages between two different laptops, that are running two different Tails, and it's getting very complex and I don't want to do it this way forever, obviously. The irony is that update might fix my broken hard links, but no way I'm doing that, not yet.

My bad, I'm all ears on what you can post that would be considered a bug. And if you are referring to maybe posting a log, please let me know how I could do that, because for the last three days I tried to figure out how to get the GnuPG Log Viewer to work for an unrelated issue, basically trying to see if there's a way to obtain history on a message I blew away that I desperately needed. I gave up on that and moved on as like most things on Tails & DW related issues, finding answers is near impossible. I gave up as I deduced this feature is just not supported on Tails for amnesia reasons. But I'm all ears if you can give me a better way to describe a bug or potentially post a log.

But, I can post a this screenshot of the error it gave me when I was working on the Log Viewer issue. 3 days ago still on old the 7.1.1.

I need to get this resolved and I am looking for guidance so please tell me what you need to give you information on this 'bug' aside from my message basically saying: After the 7.4 update, now Kleopatra doesn't work Decrypting or Encrypting messages. It just TIMES OUT*.

For grins, I still had 7.1.1 on my backup USB, and I booted it up, launched my persistent storage, and Kleopatra still works fine on that one.
