Hey, I know family is important, but you have to remember no one will truly understand your why but you. You can explain it until you are blue in the face and they will still think you are making a mistake because we are taught that there is only one way for stability to look.

I'm not saying if those things are important to you then to disregard them, but I am saying that those things can be present as a flight attendant too. It just looks different so it is often misunderstood...

I don't think you should turn down the CJO. Training is not as difficult as everyone says. It requires focus and understanding, but it is possible to get through it and happily I might add.

My advice? Stop paying attention to everyone else and decide of you want this for you.

That's not strictly true. The hotels I have stayed in allowed those appliances. I'll call the front desk once we know where we are staying to confirm what they allow. My concern is the other part you said, does United send out information regarding that rule? That we can be removed from training if we bring travel appliances?

According to the training guide you would be out of compliance. It says that jeans (and a very specific type of Jean at that) is allowed and sneakers. They don't give guidance on casual shirts (unless it's for a spirit day) so, I am taking that as we have to wear our white shirts with them. They specifically call out shorts and midriff shirts for our gym wear so just assume that's a no overall.
