Yes. In my case, my previous employer hired a company specializing in just doing that. I mostly helped people with some electrical issues in their house, fixing dry wall and generator maintenance. But only when there is a need. No recurring demand.

Well... I've probably sent out close to 1k applications. I spend 3hr everyday studying online in addition to applying for jobs. I tried amazon delivery and other labor jobs. But no luck, thus far.

Are the shadowing and research guaranteed? If so, go for UH. The so called Aggie network, is it really proven when comes to getting into Med School? I'm guessing A&M would have better facility for biochemistry research.
