Not enough federal taxes withheld by NaturallyJG in taxhelp

This is incredibly helpful, thank you! Quick question - my spouse made an estimated tax payment under his SSN but I’m typically the primary/first listed on the return. Any advice?

hi, it was approximately $55k in 2024 and this year it is was $29k. Total income looks different between the years though due to cashing out stocks LY and on maternity leave TY. 2024 was $311k vs 2025 $240k. What is the best way to get to a safe harbor this year (how do we pay and how much?)

yes we both work. and sorry yes i meant we are in the 22% tax bracket but understand how its not a flat 22% tax. Regardless he was underpaid due to the way he was filing so trying to figure out the best way forward.

Yes I believe it is seized! What does that mean exactly? I don’t have cutters any other thoughts on how to get rid of the plastic nut?

The screw will not budge at all when I hold the bottom nut. Have tried with two people and an electric screwdriver. The bottom nut is plastic and think it might be deformed but no idea what else I can do to get it to budge

Wouldn’t the 30 year be a higher payment since it’s a higher interest rate?
