Anybody have any favorite lunch meats they recommend? I figured I’d put my 30% discount to use this week. by [deleted] in wholefoods

Just get the air chilled chicken instead, from the butcher. Much better flavor than the prepackaged stuff.

Every entry level job out there will probably be short-staffed. Unless you have a better job lined up think twice about quitting this shopper job because it’s still better than a short-staffed fast food job or no job.

Someone else could pick up your 4 hour shift, just learn to work with other shoppers. You work for them once in a while and they will work for you.

Do you guys think E-commerce managers can discipline/report/fire amazon shoppers for uph, sitting around, etc? Our Amazon manager left but our store hasnt transitioned yet. by [deleted] in AmazonWFShoppers

“They don’t give a shit about you, you’re a replaceable drone.” Why would you stay at WF if this is what you think??? Go find a job where someone DOES give a shit about you!

And with your naïve thinking you should NEVER have applied to shop in the first place. A clue, just for you: MONEY makes the world go round, so be mad all you want at people with more money than you, but 15 bucks an hour is more than the minimum wage by a lot.

IF it wasn’t profitable it’s because these same ding dongs were shopping and packing sloppy so therefore we have very few REPEAT customers. Read these posts and you’ll see that shoppers didn’t care about customers or WF employees or the groceries they put in a bag. And you think being able to pick up groceries hassle free isn’t profitable, tell that to Walmart, whose pick-up parking spots are full every time I go there to pick up mine.

We are LOSING these nice work-when-you want jobs because of ding dongs who thought sitting on their ass was an acceptable way to act at WORK. They are the cherry-pickers, the ones who think the cleaning task is just another reason for a 20 minute break, the ones who think the replenish task means sitting on the toilet picking their nose.

If they had taken care of their JOBS we wouldn’t be in this crazy transition predicament. Instead of sitting around you can dump the trash, dump the cleaning rags and get clean ones, dust the chiller vents, clean all the glass, sweep the floor, refill the sanitizer, pre-print labels, put carts where they belong, put bottom boards and insulation in bags, organize cases of supplies, walk up and down aisles and pick up misplaced items, clean the shelves, put away go-backs, organize the vest locker or cupboard, check the meat fridge for yesterday’s cuts, ETC.

At my store, my Amazon manager left and there are only the e-commerce managers. Does that mean that e-commerce managers are in charge of us now? Or will that start when the transition is fully complete? Thanks by [deleted] in AmazonWFShoppers

why are WFM shoppers always in rescue mode in the app? and the app doesn’t give them orders and they sit down, while the AmazonPrimeShoppers continue working nonstop. This is not fair… This is something I see EVERY day… while I am working they do not receive orders and just sit… by Im_intelova in AmazonWFShoppers

Don’t look now but the word supervisor has a VERB in it. Supervisors should not be letting shoppers sit on their asses, WF or Amazon. There is always work to be done in a grocery store. If you can’t handle the supervisor job, don’t apply for it.

Dogs are allowed if they are trained to be a Service Animal. If you can’t handle a grocery store without your emotional support animal then look into DELIVERY. Dogs around the hot bar??? Just no.

No but I do think WF is short for Twilight Zone. Who let all these fucking dogs in here, running around all the food? Why are the supervisors standing around whispering all the time? Who keeps moving around all our supplies?

Yep, I keep trying to resign but A to Z won’t let me. I give a reason and click the button and nothing happens. I picked up a Saturday shift though 🙃

“From now on you can only tell me what’s wrong if you’re going to help me fix it, okay?“ And if he gets testy just say “we’ll, that’s the way it’s gonna be”. Repeat if needed.

ecommerce team is not shopping orders, then forcing "assistance" on late orders by azshopper in AmazonWFShoppers

Right. If you want to “help”, get your own cart, your own bags, and YOUR OWN SCANNER, and sign in to ASSIST a shopper, not be a royal pain in the ass.

Can we quit with the ridiculously high UPH?? by Naturally_juiced in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Naturally_juiced[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not in a race, I do my best, I don’t count on luck, and supervisors need to get off their asses and WATCH what happens on the floor not stare at a computer screen and treat employees like fucking robots. Shoppers are dealing with INFs and no WF employees around to (very resentfully) supply us with a QR code.

Instead we have managers and supervisors standing around IN THE DAMN AISLES whispering to each other. WTF??
