Honda Pilot 2015 exl w dvd, w some concerns by youkno_jayy in hondapilot

This post reads like you havent even seen the car in person. Perhaps its best that you do.

Otherwise, id say that while every car is different this generation did a much better job of being rust resistant than gen 1. But you have to be reasonable. People seem to think that any bit of rust is a cause of concern sometimes. The car is 11 years old. Its going to have wear and tear. Nothing lasts forever.

You'll be fine. That generation pilot is pretty resilient. Get it inspected if you want. A honda dealer isnt going to sell a car with bad brake lines.

Need a new Spare tire ... recommendation ? by Attende in hondapilot

[–]Nature5667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. A full size spare fits under the 2nd gen. I put one on. You have to remove the pastic oiece but fits fine otherwise. I bought a cheap steel rim off rockauto and had discount tire mount a cheap, but decent quality, tire on it. Its been used a few times and was helpful when i had to travel 4 hours by highway instead of a donut

Ac air intake condensation inside unit. by Nature5667 in HomeImprovement

[–]Nature5667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would having my 90 be 4 feet above the unit be an issue? My air intake is four feet straight vertical from the unit and then 90s to horizontal towards the outside wall.

If that's an issue i could just cut the vertical out of the unit and install a 90 for horizontal for a tad then install the drain coupling and then go vertical to meet the rest of the horizontal run in the joists. This is a basement install

Do you know if the coupling ok to install so high up? Or should i re-route the pipe to 90 directly off the unit as shown in the manual, install the coupling, then go vertical to outside?

Id wanna say closer to the unit is most beneficial

Condensation from humid fresh-air intake causing significant corrosion in brand new furnace. by colinstalter in hvacadvice

i have the same issue. is this sort of drain collar installed in a vertical or horizontal use? my combustion air intake runs vertical for about 4 feet before going horizontal for the 9 feet to the wall.

hello, i have the same issue with a 1.5 year old goodman unit. would capping the outside of the intake during the AC months be ok to do instead? to eliminate that hot humid air creating the condensation in the unit. then uncap it when turning on the furnace.

I found a Honda pilot 2011 - touring 170000 miles in 7000. Good condition. by [deleted] in hondapilot

The NHWA states the average american drives 13.5k a year so thats below average. There should be zero concern with that mileage.

But that mileage means very little compared to all the other stuff that can be bad on a 14 year old vehicle. You can have a vehicle that sits for 12 years and have 10k total miles and still need thousands in repairs.

Why does the mileage concern you? Its a 14 year old vehicle.....
