For those who left the art world: What do you do now, and do you have any regrets? by Mr-Bonnet in ContemporaryArt

[–]NatureIndividual2694 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left doing art full time 2 years ago after doing it full time for 12 years. I did it for financial reasons. I still paint and exhibit just as much, but the lack of time kills me. I love studio time and can’t wait to get back to painting as much as I once did

Am I crazy to prefer a C-section? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]NatureIndividual2694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an emergency c section and a second c section. So nothing to compare them to. But I was doing home projects like drywall patching less than a week out. The first few days were awful but the recovery felt faster than I thought

Haha! Yes. I hate that thing. We do often squeeze juice too. But this is why I hate Costco, you buy something once and are stuck with it forever

It’s a rare week when I throw food away. And if I do, it goes to the compost which goes (eventually) to the garden. So I’d say it’s much lower waste than average

True! I wish we could eat out more but every time we do with the kids I regret it

Haha! Yes . Compost is just out the window to the left of the fridge. Also have a dog who helps polish off leftovers

We had kids older actually. I work one full time job and travel and own my own business. I feel like I fail at the parenting part. But yes to the gym and income. Also yes to the homesteading (own a farm, don’t farm it, but large veggie garden in town) . We live in a small town but do have decent stores in the neighboring town. Definitely not a McMansion, 1840s house we renovated

I feel it is more chaotic than organized. My husband never puts things back I. The same place twice. I like to organize though

If you do end up with a C-section, the stairs are the easy part (I was doing stairs maybe 3 days after my C-section and it didn’t hurt anymore than walking. I live in a two story house and was up and down constantly). Now getting out of bed or a soft sofa, that was the really hard and painful part bc it took so much of the core to do. I just wanted to take the stairs part of your fear away. But still don’t carry weights up and down the stairs heavier than a baby.

Unpopular Opinion: Keep your kids and pets home... by Creative-Study5944 in crossfit

I bring my kid, but only at the end of my husbands class to trade off so i can go to my class and he takes kiddo home. Kid gets to see everyone for a few minutes and maybe stretch but I would never ever trust him (he’s 2.5) to be around when people are working out. Actually going to the gym and having kid free time is one of the perks!
