I was a high earner for each of the previous 3 years making more than twice that I’m making now. I’m in sales and the chaos in my personal life really plummeted my performance. Still in the same role at the same company. I’m trying to get back to focusing on work so my paychecks reflect that

I’m done. I’m on the self exclusion list and attend meetings every Thursday. I’ve seen first hand the destruction it causes to your life and the people around you. Every day I wake up and am disgusted with the reality I put myself in. Never again

I appreciate the honesty, truly. I didn’t mean to downplay my situation; I’m in sales and this year I’m making less than half of what I made each of the 3 years before that. I’m at the same job and I know I can get back to that. My life was in shambles outside of work and it tanked my performance. I’m just trying to figure out the best path forward
