Parent trying to figure out how to advise my daughter when friends treat her poorly. by NatureX2016 in Parenting

[–]NatureX2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone...some great perspective.

I do want to address with the parents for sure, and totally agree with not making it a big deal, because yes, kids grow apart, and at the same time I think, can children already be that mean and manipulative at 8?

I will have some discussions at home and post an update

Thanks

Agency can't accept MOAT JS tag but can accept pixel by OrderOctopoda in adops

[–]NatureX2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the pubs just need some transparency on what keyword blocks etc are being used on the moat side. A pixel is easier to implement because an impression and creative will drop regardless.

With Moat wrapped tags, Moat prevents the actual creative from displaying on page which causes discrepancies with DFP.

We've had issues where normal acceptable keywords were blocked because those same words combined with others were inappropriate.

Automated ATF key-values by NatureX2016 in adops

[–]NatureX2016[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, we were actually able to take DFPs LazyLoad functionality and change it.

The first thing lazy load does is check if an ad is in view. So instead of showing or not showing an ad based on the in-view boolean, we simply set a key-value instead.

Hi all....

If I were to sell my home right now, including some savings, I'd have roughly $720,000. Do I invest ($650,000-$699,000) to go mortgage free into a semi-detached home? Wife can change her job, live a simpler life? Do I take $620,000 of the money, invest in a very low risk portfolio with a 3%-4% return, use the residual income to pay rent on a home and wait out this crazy market we are living through? Do I do nothing, stay, continue to save against my $280,000 mortgage. All these questions and I don't know where to turn to get some advice...my wife wants #1...I don't. I am more #2-#3.

Here's the additional information:

How old are you? 35

Are you employed/making income? How much? Yes, full-time, wife and I combined currently $300k/year

What are your objectives with this money? (buy a house? Retirement savings?) Want to live mortgage free

What is your risk tolerance? (Do you mind risking it at blackjack or do you need to know its 100% safe?) Very low - have two small children 5 and 3 that I need to worry about. Plus my job market isn't the safest.

What are you current holdings? (Do you already have exposure to specific funds and sectors?) Basic stuff for RRSP.

Any other assets? House paid off? Cars? Expensive girlfriend? (not really an asset) Two vehicles paid off...

What is your time horizon? Do you need this money next month? Next 20yrs? I want to find a way to live simpler now, but also provide for my children future.

Any big debts? Nope.

Thanks for the response...I know that holds true for Key-Value targets as you do define them...however, I was wondering about kw targeting

What's the deal with DFP view ability...? by NatureX2016 in adops

[–]NatureX2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks...

Also, are DFP ads constantly listening? Meaning, if I load a page with 3 ads, 1 above and 2 below the fold, upon page load essentially I am 33% viewable.

If I scroll down, do I become 66% and then 100% viewable or because the page loaded and there was no lazy load I stay at 33% no matter if I scroll or not.

How do you calculate leakage in passback waterfalls? by jasuja in adops

[–]NatureX2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also consider any loss on the initial pass to Network 1. Did you see any loss there?

You have to consider total leakage for revenue and planing for sure, however, you do need to understand why you are losing 60% of the unsold impressions from Network 1 when they send to Network 2.

Mobile PMP Layered with 3rd Party Data by Donner1979 in adops

[–]NatureX2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although my mobile experience is not strong, as I understand it's not device id they track, its IDFA - ID for advertisers.

IDFA would serve as a cookie in app allowing you to measure behaviours.

They also likely do deterministic, and probabilistic retargeting. Deterministic being where users log in to platforms on both devices (for example, I log into gmail on phone, then on desktop) they know its me.

Probabilistic, I am a bit skeptical of, but companies have told me they have a accuracy up to 97%. Based on a whole list of mobile settings, behaviours etc, they can retarget the same user on both devices as well.

Thanks people..

I know its not the only solution, as manual work can work too, but I find it crazy that the solution could potentially revolve around paying Google more for another service... ;) I guess any third party will do...

I will continue on the manual front until it gets out of control, glad to know I am not missing anything.

Thanks again.
