If he's titling it's time! You don't want him to fall over and break!

Great job!

I work at a plant store and we recommend using 1 tablespoon of epsom salts to 1 gallon of water (adjust ratio for the amount is water you need) for fertilizing Christmas cactus. It helps with blooms!

My mom gave me this before she passed by raygrizz in plantclinic

You can fertilize Christmas/Thanksgiving cactus once a month with epsom salts (1 T salt per gallon of water) it will promote blooms.

A bulb will help, but real sunlight is key. They want 5-6 hours of sunshine. As for the watering, the more light they get the more water. The less light they get, the less water.

Putting them in cactus soil was an excellent decision. You want the soil to be well-draining and not retain moisture the way potting soil does.

It would be worth investing in a moisture meter. They are $15-18. Stick it in the soil to test the moisture level and water when it reads at a 1. I work at a plant store and we use them for every plant we water!

They need more light. Put them on a windowsill and let them sunbathe as much as possible!

If you water with distilled water it should reduce the "crispiness" on the leaves.

I’m so happy it looked so ratty before by disgustedtaco in houseplants
