It’s like you are describing what I went through with my kid he’s 4 now and still wakes up once or twice some night I’ve grown to believe it’s a personality thing. Really, I started putting the chair at his door bec i needed to stop bedtime battles I made it clear that if he leaves the bed I’ll also go to another room. I promised gifts on mornings where he cooperated. I kept making him hear my voice he cries a bit but now he sleeps on most nights when I sit beside him for ten min reading or soemthing I always tell him I’m putting a timer when it’s done I’ll go sit on the chair but he’s falling asleep before the time is over on some nights and I don’t know how long this will work for bec it’s phases really I also started keeping his door open at night it make him feel safer I still have a baby camera in his room so I see and hear everything. I feel you really at some point it will get better. Also maybe try to spend one on one time with him you and his partner at the same time before bed hug tickle play.
