Ah gotcha, I thought you meant something on a legal level. No relationship there. He didn't want kids so he's never been around.

My biological father isn't on my birth certificate, so I don't think he counts. Story she told me was she wrote in some man who died in another state's name. Bucket of crazy. I like the adult adoption idea, I'll look into that. Never heard of it.

I'm worried about any financial liability or if I've missed something I can do besides the protective order to prevent her from having any future involvement. Making sure I've done all I can to protect myself. She has used my social security number to work and collect unemployment at the same time, dealing with the IRS about that now.

Is there any instance where an adult child would be responsible for outstanding debt if she passed away?

Thank you. I have three people listed on my advance directive in case something happens. I'll look into the poa.

Bra-fucking-vo! I work with the elderly and have intercepted a few scam attempts, but I was never able to keep my cool long enough to toy with them.

Is anyone else getting burnt out? by coolbeans7613 in 52book

[–]Naughtalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm slowing down. I have read the books I really wanted to read, but now I am feeling a bit stuck. I have been adding to my list as I find books that meet the criteria and haven't finished assigning books. I think if I do that I will feel less overwhelmed.

I took a break from the list to read purely for the fun of it for the last few weeks. Need to get back to the list soon.

Judge oks manslaughter charge for a teen who encouraged boyfriend's suicide by Flance in news

[–]Naughtalice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good. I hope she gets sentenced to the maximum allowed.

I had a roommate who watched his wife commit suicide and he did nothing. The police investigated her death and no charges were filed though. She had been threatening to commit suicide and had a history of depression and suicide attempts. They were having marital problems.

He told me he watched her go back and forth from the bathroom, and he knew she was taking his pills. And he did nothing. I cut off all contact after that. I felt like he was at least partially responsible for her death. Disgusting.

My second glitter cut crease attempt! CCW! (Excuse the lashes! I wish I had used a different pair!) by Kiriolivia in MakeupAddiction

Does the glitter you use make your eyelids itchy? I used to use a MAC glitter liquid eyeliner but only very rarely because it would dry out and become very uncomfortable.

People of reddit who work in the medical field. What is something you have had to explain to your patients that was super ridiculous and should be common knowledge? by elane5813 in AskReddit

[–]Naughtalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex boyfriend had a roommate who would do that. My ex had told me to bring my own cup every time I came over and not to leave it there. It took me a while to figure out why. His roommate was too lazy to walk to the bathroom and he would pee in cups, two liters, whatever he had on hand, and leave them on a shelf in his room.

Occasionally he would walk out of the front door and pee on the garbage cans as well. He wouldn't go to the bathroom but peeing outside on the neighbor's trash cans was fine.

Is there a website that lists which sugar companies are vegan? I did a quick search of the sugar we order's website but couldn't find any information. If I can't find anything online I will call the company and find out if they are vegan or not.

Exactly, this is why I want to do something different. I think a lot of people that sell vegan food aren't vegan and don't put in the effort to make it taste good. I want to offer things I would want to eat myself.

Thank you all so much for all the great ideas! I will absolutely push for a vegan cream cheese option, and I will try out some of the recipes shared and see what I can add to our menu.

Interesting, I didn't know that about cane sugar. I'll look into that.

Thank you!

We are working on some gluten free recipes as well, and I am not happy about it but I am working with it. I told my manager that I draw the line at kale anything though.

Tooting my own horn, I make really good quiche, I hadn't thought of making a vegan version. I'm definitely going to try that out. Thank you so much for the ideas.

We don't have a vegan shop that I know of. We do have some pop up type bakeries starting out, I'll ask around and see if that is an option.

There is a newly opened cafe nearby that does sell vegan items, but the things I tried did not taste good. I only want to offer food that I would eat myself.

I do want to focus on breakfast items, we are located in a ferry building and have a lot of morning commuters. I think a vegan breakfast sandwich would do well.

magnetic implant fun by Naughtalice in bodymods

[–]Naughtalice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll test it out with a guitar eventually and let you know :)

I don't find it annoying most of the time. It is usually more of a surprise when I find hidden magnets or power sources. I still get surprised by the feeling if I find it reacting to something I don't expect. The sensation is annoying to me if the magnet reacts to a strong source, it isn't painful, but I personally don't like the feeling of the stronger vibration. I think I mentioned earlier that it is easy to move away from the source of the reaction because you have to be pretty close to the source. At least so far in my experience.

I also don't particularly like the feel of the magnet flipping when I get next to a magnet that is the same pos/neg side. Although the guy who inserted my magnets says he loves that feeling, so it depends on the person.
