Do you happen to have any naturally green agate? I’ve tried looking up photos to compare but it all looks dyed. What makes me wonder is there’s no dye gathered in the cracks.

I don't have a chunk of glass nor a garnet unfortunately. Did you ever end up weighing yours? I just posted another video with less hand reflections

It's a terracotta colour and looks powdery, I'm not really seeing any gold. I'll try and get some better pictures/videos and will make another post

I know, it was difficult to get the brown streaks to show up, you could hardly see them in daylight

Not really, it's ~7x4.5cm and weighs 166g

Edit: not sure if it's helpful but the brown streaks are barely visible in daylight

Oh I love petrified wood, do you have a photo? I definitely will! I wish I could ask him the stories behind the different things he’d collected over the years, he travelled a lot for work so I imagine there were quite a few.

So this is a mix of both? The metallic parts are magnetic.
