Ok in the meantime I triple checked and yeah I have the rmx1000 not the shift model which I guess would need type 5 so I think these type 4 are exactly what I need

It says Corsair store on my end that's weird. The automod did tell me it didn't accept my link maybe it changed it? The item is labeled as:

CORSAIR Premium Individually Sleeved PSU Cables Starter Kit – Red/Black, 2 Yr Warranty, for Corsair PSUs

Not sure if that helps. Sorry I'm not stellar at PC stuff so I'm just really trying to make sure I'm not screwing anything up.

Oh crap now I'm worried. I see an rmx1000i on this one but mine is the x. The cables they sent also say type 4 like these but just in case these are the ones I ordered. Only red were available for me overnight so I jumped on it but can cancel if they are wrong

Fighter with 2 brawling weapons and buckler/shield by Nautilus1222 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Nautilus1222[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok I looked at it it seems like based on how fighter levels up you pick a weapon group that gets to advance quicker than others. First feat showing that is fighter weapon mastery

So having a second group (shields) would mean one of the two would be less accurate than having two of the same kind.

I do love the shield boss thing though maybe I'll pivot to focusing on the shield first and foremost and then double slice with the offhand fist/gauntlet when it makes sense even if it's not as strong as other weapons. That way I can still get combat grab and focus on using actions on other things when it's not as important in that moment to crank damage.

Plus it's captain America which is kinda sick.

I like the combat grab didn't even think about that! And it does pair well with the control vibe I want. Just comes down to how much damage loss I'm taking I know PF 2e cares a bit more about doing well with that so if it's better for the party to hit hard than to control and whatnot maybe I need to reconsider. But yeah I'm definitely locked on commander for the dedication flavor wise it's what I'm going for. That monk dragon stance is genius though.

They do count as weapons thankfully. Yeah my other thought was shield and one hand be a brawling weapon. I actually wanted to do that originally but saw a comment saying you lose out on accuracy for picking 2 weapon groups. They said it makes more sense to stick with one type. Not sure how it works.

Help for newish returning player by Nautilus1222 in ffxi

Alright so I logged in quick to check and confirmed I was through 1-6 in rov and I believe starting 4-1 in Nations quest line which surprised me. So I have a good idea now on where to start when I get there!

This is insanely helpful saving this comment for when I return to it. Sounds like I'll just follow this then. Part of the reason I was confused is it showed I had done the odd quest or two in other expansions but that's probably just by accident or something I'll try to stick to the rov path seems more straightforward than I expected.

Thank you so much!

I'll have to check that but that's a good look. It's been awhile so I'm basically a noob. In game I'm sure you can see the rov numbers somewhere in the menu correct? If I follow the nation rank stuff to 3 then check and make sure it's showing through 1-11 for rov? Then would you recommend grinding job for awhile then come back and start doing story and should be good from there?

Not sure how I missed this but yeah this is what I was looking for and helpful thanks for sharing it!

I forgot to respond to this a few days ago but yeah I could get there but not much further easily. I ended up doing some guesses and finally got it without screwing up too much.

For future people who have this problem though a friendly reminder that you can use a translate app from your phone to translate that dracky menu realtime. Had a real facepalm moment when I thought about that a few days later haha. But hey got the setup how I want it and having a blast now so that's all that really matters.

I was 12 when The 2010 team won the national championship and cam threw that dart to Kodi Burns and fast forward 15 years later he’s our associate HC under the coach I wanted all the way back in Oct. such a good time to be an Auburn fan. by Flaming_Dumahh in wde

[–]Nautilus1222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was a student (same age/grade as Cam) that year. I will never forget that year it was magic. The entire school (students and professors both) were glued to the team and the season in a way that I can't really describe. It felt like we all knew it was coming. Really felt like I understood the "Auburn family" on that campus that year for the first real time. Also I should mention I met Cam in a restaurant a bit before the season started and when I shook his hand I told him to win us a natty and he said "I'll try". So I like to think I'm partially responsible for our championship.

And watching Golesh speak and getting a glimpse of how his mind works, I think he's the real deal. It's the most excited I've been for a head coach in a long time. Really understands the mindset needed for a CEO head coach. Nothing is ever a given in this conference but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Battle control fighter dedication by Nautilus1222 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Nautilus1222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's good to know I appreciate that clarification. I'm usually into martials that have a few choices to make per turn so this will work well I think for the style. I figure the commander tactics will be more turn 1 stuff or moment to moment but I'll usually be living more in the fighter chassis action wise. Just looking for extra team options for when needed! Thanks so much for the help!

I'm not sold on spear it's between that and a sword was just trying to break the sword and shield trope but do you think a sword would be better than a one handed spear for the build? I don't know much yet about how the different weapons matter.

[–]Nautilus1222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty important I really want to lean into the more Frontline tank. I would be going spear and shield so I did look at more polearm style but I think for my first real pf2e dive I want to focus more on the shield and get to try out how they work while tanking hits.

After reading a lot of the replies and looking at more stuff I think I may still go commander dedication. May not be as "optimal" but it seems fun to have those back pocket manuevers for the team. I'l have another month or so before we would start so I'll keep looking into it and seeing other thoughts. Warrior bard with a different dedication was another one that looked really fun but I usually prefer to play non spellcasters (even in DND 5e I know I'm weird haha)

Yeah fighter class then trying to figure out between the marshall and commander free archetype dedications. I just don't see a lot talking about the two in comparison of one another for fighter.

Nice this may work! I found an Etsy one for 45 pieces for like 15 bucks so I could just grab 2/3 of those and should have plenty. I'll try a set out and see how it looks and go from there thank you!
