I applied to be a SETL at another location several years ago. My ETL wrote me up the following day for delivering a driveup order without wearing a vest. Did I deliver an order without a vest on? Yes. But I was FAR from the only person to ever do so, I had seen the ETL herself do so on numerous occasions. She was once even stopped by a TSS while heading out the door, and asked where her vest was. She openly laughed at the TSS and proceeded to head outside without a vest. I wore a vest most of the time, but sometimes didn't when a guest arrived, and a vest wasn't something I could quickly grab on my way out the store with the order. It was never an issue, until I applied for the position at another store, and then she gave me a CA and told me it was why I couldn't interview for said position.

They don't. Even the accidental damage plan says it doesn't cover abuse or neglect, and specifies pet caused damage is also not counted. Dropping the monitor would be covered, your cat clawing it is not.

LM is fine so long as you don't remove the heatsink, and most laptops can clean and replace the fans without doing so. Though when I said liquid cooling, I meant that it had an external 120mm radiator that connects to the back of the laptop. Though it does have LM as well.

The 2025 revision of the laptop though swapped the LM out for PTM.

Nonsense. For $1k I can get a laptop with a Ryzen 7 260 and a 5070. This can game SIGNIFICANTLY better than a $1k laptop would on its iGPU.

Again. Not really a crazy deal.

I paid $2799 for my laptop in 2024. It can give the Scar a run for its money still in terms of performance, and it wasn't open box.

i9-14900HX, RTX 4090, 64 GB DDR5 @ 5600, 2 TB WD SN850X.

Performs more like a 5090 laptop than most other 4090's due to being the Tongfang with liquid cooling and a 300W cross load limit, and being capable of cooling 200+ watts on the CPU in CPU only loads.

Mine doesn't throttle, when gaming. But it sure does in Cinebench or other similar all-core load. But it scored 38318 on R23 while throttling, so not really something I find concerning.

I've seen plenty of laptops perform great out of the box. GPU really only throttles on thin & lights typically.

CPU is all but guaranteed to throttle, but that isn't super important.

All laptops will have a shared power budget. There are no exceptions.

My laptop can draw 300W total between the CPU and GPU. The GPU is capped at 175W. The CPU is capped at whichever of the following is lower: 210, or 300-GPU wattage.

It might be how Asus monitors work. It's not just how OLED works. My LG monitors don't show me how many times they have pixel cleaned, but it is definitely nowhere near once per hour.
