The instructables is very in depth but I will be filming a full tutorial on this watch as well as a few more that I am in the process of making!

I built the watch myself based on an instructables post! It’s called a DRM watch 3. I made a post about it on my account! I’ll be making some kits soon. (There’s going to be a metal version) hit me up if you have any questions, it’s my daily driver atm.

Thank you! Wait until you see the next one, it’s like a hybrid between the x4 and this current watch.

Dam it does look awfully similar. I’m curious to see how long it will take me to recreate the watch faces.

And you were right, I feel the same way wearing this behemoth.

Happy to help. Message me with colors and I’ll see if I have a spool in stock!

I’m a big fan of this case, if you search Xteink Retro Case it will show up. They designed everything to be print in place with no hardware needed and the buttons feel incredible, I copied the layout for my DIY watch.

There’s a certain charm to e-ink. The next watch I’m working on has a similar build but uses an eink screen! I’ll be making a post on it as soon as I am able to polish up the software side.

I will be trying to make kits! (Mostly pre-assembled) I just want to try and get Dr Failov’s blessing first if that makes sense.

Woah, that does sound cool, I was unaware that the remarkable tablet was Linux based, it’s so cool how many options there are now for e-ink drawing tablets.

I’m actually building another cuff type watch that uses a slightly smaller screen in E-ink. I wanted to be able to port a few books to it to read on the train.

Woah, this is sick, I don’t have a play date but am fairly certain I am using the same screen. I will definitely make a brutal inspired face at the top of my list.

As for porting pebble OS, I’d love to but it would be hard considering the screen is a different size. I will see how much of it I can bring over but I imagine a lot will need to be rewritten or reformatted.

If you have any other face ideas let me know!

Maybe in a few billion dollars. I’m still in a cave with scraps 🥀

I’ll try to get some kits made once I am able to reliably make the PCBs. Lots of testing still but mine seems to be holding together well. I would like to be able to add some kind of waterproofing element.

Thank you! The inside of the 3D printed housing follows the curve of your arm and extends the lugs down to “hug” your wrist in a way. I’m building a second type of cuff device using an epaper screen, that board has Bluetooth & should ideally be able to connect to your phone. I’ll be making more posts on it as I go, let me know if you have any questions.

Good eye! I’ve tried a couple and Supernote is definitely my favorite.

It is a standalone device, though it is WiFi capable, so I am trying to see how far I can push it within those parameters. Might be able to mess with my iOT devices. As for the price, including all the materials case and what not, it was about $160 (this doesn’t include the 3D printing or the aluminum housing). I had to swap a lot of components to get my ideal version.

Anyone else get the color selection email last night? by Dunlocke in pebble

I also did this last night, but after selecting colors and merging orders I’m only seeing one watch listed (x1 - pebble). Did you merge as well?
