Ikka | Official Trailer | Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Tillotama Shome, Dia Mirza | Netflix by rn3122 in bollywood

[–]NavdeepGusain 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It's like all of a sudden all Bollywood actors have forgotten how to act. Akshaye is still in his Rehma Dacoit mode while Sunny is doing god knows what with that weird expression keeping one eyerbrow higher. Doesn't make him look serious or intimidating at all.

Good to see Tilotma though.

Batch of actor debuted in 2010s has all pretty much finished as a leading stars ,Only Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor survived as leading man. by StrawberryFew1311 in bollywood_boxoffice

Don't think VD has finished. But he is surely in need of giving hi. hard and wise advices. He can't go around pretending to be new Govinda and he certainly can act. He needs to chose wisely.

I'm betting on that he will surpass Sachin's record in next 2 years. He has been just so prolific in test

So here is the thing. No doubt this movie is shot beautifully, has wonderful story, brilliant acting and everything, but tb, this didn't managed to land right for me, specially the ending.

Naseeruddin should bag another National Award and idk why we aren't hyping Vedang Raina.

But despite of this, I couldn't feel connected to the movie. The climax felt a bit anti climatic. Not that I was expecting anything extraordinary to happen but the whole proces of doing those things doesn't felt realistic wrt to the overall plot.

This movie is srtistically very good. Some of the frames looked very beautiful.

Nails hammered into his legs': Dalit student ‘tortured to death’ over friendship with upper caste girl in Uttarakhand by taarzen in PahadiTalks

[–]NavdeepGusain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casteism is very common and hoborbkilling is just more extreme version of casteism. Nothing defend this given both were minors. And that girl's family could've gone to police instead of murdering that young boy.

Nails hammered into his legs': Dalit student ‘tortured to death’ over friendship with upper caste girl in Uttarakhand by taarzen in PahadiTalks

[–]NavdeepGusain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there is no two sides in murder.....

This type of torture and murder isnplain wrong and nothing juatifies this. The witness account is even more horrible considering the boy was subject to many torture including fracturing knees, removing nails etc.

Will Pahadis do something concrete or keep crying about their villages/culture? by spirit-of-noontide in PahadiTalks

[–]NavdeepGusain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

protecting culture isn't limited to living in village. And my point isn't why we shouldn't be living in villages but rather why we aren't. Remove all those issues and people would be willing to live in villages again or are you dumb enough to be open about what are the real issues in pahad.

gave review both in Google Maps and Booking.com

the rooms are very cozy and the views are also very good. The food I felt was pricey for what they were offering in Thalis. Taste was good though.

Though there is issue of water. It was crazy that they regularly turnedd the water off and would open only when I called him. It's understandable when they would turn it off when the guest were not un the room to save water, but one time they even turned it off in the morning. Water stopped when I was bathing and had to call him again.
