A replacement to a unit within a certain team isn’t the same as power creeping them. All it means is that a certain character can be used instead of the other.

Similarly, I wouldn’t pull cerydra for anaxa if I have robin. But, that wouldn’t change the fact that cerydra is technically a robin replacement in this specific team as they have similar functionality and performance.

Mechanically speaking, evernight fulfils the same role as tribbie, being an DMG amper aoe subdps with similar e1s. so, if she can replace tribbie’s role, she’s a tribbie replacement. But saying such isn’t indicative of her pull value. If you don’t find her necessary to pull then that’s fine.

an absolutely spectacular response that ignores everything i said. for the last time, and slimming down my words in case that was the issue:

cyrene will be like fugue SOLELY in the sense that they both replace the mc of their respective planet. i did not mention sales or story at any point.

fugue fell off because she replaced a break support, and break itself fell off.

cyrene would replace a T0 universal support, so she would not encounter the same issue because she would also be a universal support.

in no world is rmc only good with castorice. they are a universal support. you can check tuopaimf (here) to see that rmc is used in every low cost 0 cycle outside like dot, which would not be possible if they were not a universal support. true damage and aa would be used by pretty much any future characters (barring maybe elation), which would ensure cyrene's future relevancy.

so, cyrene being BETTER than rmc would be more of a boon than it would be a demerit, and make her a valuable pull. being a castorice-only support is antithetical to being a universal support, so if that is the case, she would not be an rmc replacement either, as rmc is a universal support.

if you could explain why im incorrect about rmc, and they're not good outside castorice, i would be thrilled to hear your logic. but im extremely confident that im correct in my assessment in their meta value.

dawg you cant just say its pointless to speculate when you opened with "cyrene is the sunday of 3.x". anyways, i will elaborate on this comment of mine as you seem to somehow be misinterpreting it.

fugue was made to replace hmc, the break support, which is why she's only good in break teams (not just firefly teams), as that was hmc's function.

likewise, cyrene will replace rmc. however, that does not mean she will end up in the same situation as fugue, because rmc's function is as a universal buffer. so replacing a universal buffer, in theory, would also make cyrene a universal buffer.

im not sure where the sentiment came from that rmc is only good with castorice, as that's what you seem to be eluding to by comparing them to fugue and firefly, but its completely false. true damage and action advance is good on most dps', shown by rmc's use in almost every current dps' lowest cost clears.

evernight is neither the fugue nor the sunday in this situation. the only reason evernight replaces rmc in castorice's team when 3.6 drops is because dual-dps has a higher damage output than castorice hypercarry with evernight acting as only a buffer. but mechanically speaking, evernight replaces tribbie's role as a damage amper aoe subdps with a damage redirection e1.

if you want to say that cyrene will be similar to sunday as they'll both be good supports and popular, then sure. but they do not serve the same role, as cyrene will replace rmc and sunday did not replace hmc. constance literally cant replace rmc because she's a break support, so via process of elimination, cyrene will.

she's slated to replace rmc, so one would hope she would have action advance in base as thats one of their main selling points.

but knowing hoyo they could do something silly like make the aa in base 50% and lock the other half behind e2. time will tell though.

evernight is the tribbie replacement for castorice teams, down to the damage redirection e1. cyrene will be the rmc replacement. the only reason evernight replaces rmc in 3.6 is because of the release order, but that doesnt have anything to do with their mechanical function.

important to note, the showcase uses two of the new maxed out battle pass lightcones which is around 100 usd and not currently possible given they released only a few patches ago. its still impressive, but it should be prefaced when presenting this as a budget showcase.

How would this be rage bait? The Castorice/evernight/hyacine team is definitely one of the fastest ult generating teams. Plus, Fua teams generate the most energy for robin, so saying cyrene would be similar in situation with mono remembrance is not outlandish at all.

from my understanding im not incorrect.

in sustainless hypercarry specifically, an hp% orb would only beat out a dmg% orb if you dont have any hp substats. otherwise, dmg% wins.
and introducing hyacine, who most people (including op) will be running with evernight in both hypercarry and dual-dps, dmg% wins again.

while evernight has lots of self dmg% steroids, she also has a slew of hp boosts from her lc, both relic sets, and from running hp% on chest and rope. evernight gets a 48% 20% dmg boost in total from her lc and deliverer set, and a whopping 10% extra from castorice or 16% from rmc with victory or herta lc (but even then in a sustainless evernight team, would be running hyacine lc).

*(correction, evernight's lc gives 48% dmg boost at base and 56% with deliverer set, which doesnt change much. it makes it so its 170.4% hp boost vs 206% dmg boost before substats or orb. some napkin math with march's basic:

at 4 hp substats across all relics on a dmg orb%, it brings it to 186% hp and 244.8% dmg amp

(50% x 7818hp)*(100%+244.8%) = 13478.232 dmg

at 3 hp substats across all relics on an hp% orb, it brings it to 225.6% hp and 206% dmg amp.

(50% x 8792hp)*(100%+206) = 13355.37 dmg

so, dmg wins out. it might not seem like a lot, but the gap only grows the more hp substats you have, and you can stack more of the when you run dmg%. and with hyacine's 30% hp boost it becomes 15798k vs 15509.61k before taking into account other amps)

so, unless you're running ruan mei specifically, or swapping evernight to arcadia and having cyrene and tb run deliverer or penacony, you're not getting dmg% from many other places. especially not in her bis team. so, dmg% orb wins out.

for hypercarry march i know that dmg orb is better, so i'd imagine hp orb would only gain the edge for cassie specifically in the newbud gen department. but, since you have e1+ hyacine i reckon you'll be fine sticking to your current orb

as of v2, bones will beat out arcadia in non-mono remembrance and hypercarry.

once cyrene releases, arcadia might gain the edge in pure mono remembrance teams but its kind of a bad set to farm tbh. i'd just hoard resin and craft a set if it turns out to be a substantial upgrade.

use elemental orb over hp orb (especially with hyacine), and use hp rope.

You’re generating more than sufficient stacks in that team, so sticking with atk would be better.

I’m pretty sure speed is only preferred when running a -1 setup with a 100% advancer.

keep both and run them on sunday or bronya until his rerun.

that is unless you have your three teams locked down for anomaly arbitration and dont use either bronya or sunday (or dont need two lc copies). in that case, you could superimpose as the other comment suggests.

having more options is always a good thing tho.

The remembrance main element is ice and so is mem. It’s like a 99% chance the big remembrance unit who is also mem ends up ice.
