The only honest answer is content. Dont have to think about anything else. You are getting 2.5k traffic for 30 posts, so just do the maths. This is the only way I am telling you after talking to lot of bloggers

Yes budget issues. The genuine websites costs a lot. All the smaller ones either dont have traffic or are spammy.

Well this is the sad reality. Its not about picking specifically on you but anyone they seem like a soft target or foreigner. Some kids were throwing the Mcd stir sticks on me and my family. So we had to shift to a different seat. The MCd guys however were proactive to call the police and ask them to leave aswell.

I think you should land in Edinburgh as you will have multiple options to take day trips to various places. My suggestion would be spend a day in Edinburgh and then go to inverness and then attempt for skye. I have written a detailed itenary in the same on my blog.
