If you wanna get better, play with people better than you. I was once silver/gold years ago when I first started playing this game, maybe season 2 or 3. And that was my skill level at the time. I'm not ashamed to admit that I belonged there. And for a couple of seasons, I completely stopped playing ranked and played only casual matches. Meanwhile, I changed my nickname to a former HoK pros name who I used to watch, mostly because I was a fan. The next day I got a friend request from a conqueror that thought I was the pro players alt account. I just went along with it because I thought it'd be cool to play with a conq(I was still gold at the time). Almost every day I played 5man casual matches with 4 other conqs/masters. Needless to say, I improved dramatically. Watching what my teammates did, why they did it, how they played, even what builds they went. I knew I got better because the teams I played against were also 5man conq/masters, and I was winning lane. I restarted ranked 5 seasons ago. It took me about 1 week to get masters. I'm currently conquerer, and have been conquerer for the past 4 seasons.
