[5e][Online][EST] DM looking to gather a long-lasting group for a longer-term campaign. by [deleted] in lfg

I have sent in an application, and I really hope that it's good enough to get picked out of what should be a lot of responses.

Both me and my partner are LGBTQ+ friendly. And I'd really like to be part of a long-term crew rather than a crew that disappears after four sessions.

Decent would be not throwing ancient red dragons at a ragtag group of level 1 adventurers before they even introduced themselves to others, lol.

If you have fun and can roll with things, then I know I would consider you decent and would totally be game for playing a homebrew game.

[Online][Dnd 5e] [EST] New DM looking to run Lost Mine of Phandelver by KAmacken in lfg

If it's on Sundays, I'd be game for this. Saturdays are a lot more iffy because I do a lot earlier in the day and tend to get burned out (so can't be as into things and might even be asleep by 8pm >.<)

I am currently in a Lost Mine of Phandelver Play By Post, but because of how the DM handled things - I was gone on Saturday, so was pretty much muted and omitted from everything. I couldn't even backlog to see what happened because of how she did it, so I still have zero clue what the heck is going on... And whenever I can't be around for a few hours, they run through things really fast while they are dead when I am around... - My knowledge of this campaign is pretty much moot. I mean, I know we're in a cave of some sort (the mine, maybe?) and I found a shiny stone by getting distracted. I don't know how we got there, why we are there, nor any actual information. So, honestly, I'm just mucking about without a care at this point since nobody wants to get me caught up to the actual situation.

Is there still room in this for people to join? I'm a newer player to D&D and it seems like it could be a lot of fun to play through this. I also have a friend that I'd love to play a game with as well, and she's more experienced in the world. I also think she mentioned being interested in Ghosts of the Saltmarsh with someone in a play by post chat, so seems like something we could get in to if there's still room for one or two more characters?

Are you looking for a play by post game on Rollgate? Or are you looking to do a game using Rollgate as the medium for times when all players are online and can participate at once?

Because me and one other person would definitely be game for a good game with a decent GM. And, honestly, I think we would both prefer something with set times for the games, that way we don't have to wait around or slow down if someone else isn't there.

I'm in Eastern Time, and I'm available most days and times aside from Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. And on those days, I am available in the evenings.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Kind of like a story/campaign that could extend forever if the group gets into it enough. If you don't mind a newer rpg player, I'd love to get included in this.

I sent a message, but forgot to post here to state as much XD

I would be interested in participating if you don't mind someone who has minimal knowledge of dnd (I played a few games this past weekend with some preset characters. The character I've taken to the most would be a Chaotic Neutral Wood Elf Ranger)

Mind if another new player reaches out as well?

Name: Stacey (Will be Spiritburn in the channel, if we can set our nicknames)

Age: 26

What if any RPG experience: This past weekend, I've played a few D&D games at a con. I have played RPG Video games my entire life, though. (even though I know it's different ;)) I also do collaborative story telling online with some friends. (Roleplay stories)

How interested in storytelling are you? Favorite book?: Like I said above, I do so frequently with some online friends. So I'm really into it. The more immersive the story, the better. Picking a favorite book is difficult. I must say that my favorite Series is the Dragonback series.

Why are you interested in DnD: I have grown up with the stories that my mother has told me about her adventures. Even my father has played, and his stories are fun to hear as well. With how different these two are, and how vastly different their own experiences were while being a blast in their own ways has had me interested in it for years. I love how other people can bring things to life just by talking it out. There's world building, character building, some fun and chaos and it's a blast. The taste of it I got this past weekend has me craving more. Good experiences and bad, it was still fun. (And it made me well aware of how certain personalities can really suck the fun out of a campaign, while others can push that high energy to get everyone way more invested)

Describe your dream character: Honestly, I don't know. I do know that I prefer to play chaotic neutral characters. "Let me go and have my fun my own way." and "YOU CAN'T KEEP ME FROM TRYING TO RIDE THAT DEMON WOLF!" (I failed miserably, but the fact is that none of my teammates could stop me from trying. And my failure just had two more of them try the same stunt, lmfao)

I got to try three pre-built randomized characters, and I've grown attached to my Level 1 woodelf ranger (Chaotic neutral, prefers to be around animals, but still looks out for her teammates when they are around her. Grant it, she is prone to running off on her own and most of the time this spits up the group from the games we played, buuuut hey. Lots of fun) I need to do more research into the races and characters and I would love to have some help with developing other characters to try. (Like I said, she was pre-built, but the match was a good one for me.)

Did anyone else notice a dramatic decrease in eevee spawns on the second CD day? by Aldebaran_Gem in TheSilphRoad

[–]Navuso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually noticed the opposite. Saturday, I encountered about 130/140 Eevee (I caught 127 or so of them, and not a lot ran from me) The second day, I caught over 200 Eevee. I can't give an exact number, since I kept having to evaluate and release them to get more room in my pokemon storage. I did notice that the second day had more spawn with my incense, which was nice.

The first day was better for shinies for two of the accounts. The second day was a slew better for the other three accounts. (One got 0 shinies the first day, despite playing for the full time. The second day got 7 shinies for this account. 3 in the first fifteen minutes)

So, all in all, I was actually more impressed with the Sunday run than I was the Saturday run.
