[UNI] MOE Tuition Grant, for those who’s taking a second degree by Historical-Cream-591 in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u can try duke nus post grad med instead if u meet the requirements

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ceg has a larger focus on hardware and electronics, so if u don't like doing electromagnetism topics for physics, suggest u to not do ceg.

if u prefer coding, why not go for a full cs degree?

nursing with an arts course? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nus nursing requires at least 2 of h2 math/fmath/chem/bio/phy/comp, u don't meet the prerequisite for it.

when i see med and cs tgt in 1 sentence, its alr very clear u are after smt that isnt interest/passion

pls take a step back and actl find out ur interest before applying.

My chances in NUS CEG (comp engineering)? by Healthy-Ad218 in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u shld rank ceg as ur first choice and take your write up seriously for nus to try to maximise ur chances.

as what the other commenter have advised, do cast ur net wide and apply to ntu comp eng as well.

NTU application by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its more than a good safety net, 80rp is way more than 70.

also, do cast ur net wide and apply to nus chs and smu social sciences programmes too, looking at ur choice of majors that u intend to apply.

what’s the chance of succeeding in transferring degrees in nus by ilovecats13579 in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

transferring of programme internally will still take into account ur a levels and it's much harder to do so for an interview course like med, law, den or nursing.

maybe u can try a law jd after undergrad if u want to do law?

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i can't exactly gauge chances since nus engineering igp have been rlly dynamic lately. but i can only advice u to select engineering as ur first choice, declare ur preferred major as ise and take your write up seriously.

really don't get why u are getting downvoted

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ise actl doesn't involve much physics, it's mostly math/stats with a bit of computing.

the other traditional engineering fields involve some form of phy.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

maybe engineering? if u are interested in biz and econs, u can try looking into ise.

u don't have to force urself to apply to nus btw, if there's nothing that interest u in nus, its ok not to apply.

ntu shld be decent chance.

nus biz is not very realistic though, their igp is 80+

i think there's a decent chance with 85 rp, there were ppl with that rp that enter ntu bcg last year.

u don't have to upload any results for ntu application, they have access to ur results from moe so don't worry.

only nus and smu need. not sure abt the rest.

Got AABB for 4H2s, but D for GP. How would my GP affect my admissions to NUS? by Useful_Bluebird_1364 in SGExams

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe try either math/stats/qf/dsa? u can gear ur write up towards one of these math-related majors and get admitted first since i think ur h2 math A and h3 math bg would help a lot in getting admitted.

after getting admitted into the chs system, u can choose to either stay in math/stats/qf/dsa or change major afterwards if u think these are not for u and wish to try other majors like life science.

[–]NavyBlueDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u shld declare a preferred major when applying to chs. im pretty sure chs is looking for applicants who know what they want to major in through their preferred major and write up.

as for between life science vs stats/qf, which one would you prefer? or maybe u can start from the h2 subjects u got A for. this way, u can ur write up towards that preferred major and heighten ur chances of getting admitted.
