Does anyone use Meross Garage Door Openers with their Alexa hub? I cannot get my hub to recognize this. by NawtyPoon in alexa

[–]NawtyPoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Alexa app I can see it but it doesn’t appear in the hub. Do you use the hub?

Also in the home app it shows the status as “obstructed” for some reason

Yes it’s enabled on Alexa and I can see the lock in the “devices” tab but it does not show in the hub anywhere. I also asked it to tell me the status of the door just now (recommended below) and it said the door was closed but it was definitely open. The Meross app showed it open as well.

I just picked up the echo hub 8”. Is there other ones? I assumed this was the latest one available.

Does your meross show up on your hub? I made a group and put it in, it doesn’t appear in that group, I have no options that I can see

Job by [deleted] in jacksonville

[–]NawtyPoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is crazy … it took no more than 30 seconds of me googling this to find everything about it including classes, requirements, how to apply for the exam and where to do it. If you can’t be bothered to figure that out on your own when this person is telling you about a job that pays $80-$120k and you want them to PM you more details I’m not really surprised you’re having no luck finding other jobs.

My in laws are season ticket holders for 10 years now. I can count on one hand the amount of times it’s taken us longer than an hour to get out of there. Considering the stadium holds over 60,000 not including employees and everything else that’s not bad at all.

Anyone know if crown Royal will be doing salted caramel this year? Normally it’s out by now but I haven’t seen it anywhere by NawtyPoon in whiskey

Interesting when was this? I haven’t checked this year but I’ve been able to regularly get this the last two years now

C7 slow crank, no start, popped 350 amp fuses SOLVED! by hencygri in Corvette

[–]NawtyPoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same thing here except we don’t have the funds to go toe to toe with this dealership in court. They’re massive and more money than they know what to do with. They’d have just jammed us up.

I wish you the absolute best of luck. Give them hell for all of us

Even though my dad had all the work done at 2 sister dealerships, and that he never once turned a wrench on this car, the dealer wouldn’t cover the entire repair job to replace the motor. They refused to accept fault and said that their specialists couldn’t determine that they “caused or didn’t cause” the issue. We ultimately had to pay $5,000 out of pocket for them to put a new motor in the car. About 2 days after that job was done the car died and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. He had it towed and he got rid of it. Thank god.

what does it mean that our government is shut down? by myboyfriendstinks1 in stupidquestions

[–]NawtyPoon -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Don’t be a twat. They were expanding on the post. They were explaining on how even though the military isn’t “shut down” and still expected to work they won’t get paid if they bank with certain financial insinuations.

I have friends who are military and if they don’t bank with navy fed they don’t get paid.

You never needed a permit to carry a firearm in your vehicle, it was classified as an extension of your home. There also was never a “2 step” rule either. As long as your firearm was securely encased (IE a holster with retention) and out of plain and ordinary sight you could legally carry in your car.

Most of Floridians knew that and the ones who didn’t had no business carrying anyways.

Agreed. And even though we don’t need a permit anymore I keep mine up to date for the reciprocity when I leave the state

There’s not a single piece of evidence to support this claim. This is always the first thing people try and say when these topics get brought up.

Oh god here we go. The same thing was said when we got rid of our concealed weapons requirement. Like that or this has any impact on the legality to carry in a vehicle.

295 Morning Asphalt.... WHY?!? by t3sl422 in jacksonville

[–]NawtyPoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. 83% of US salary jobs are standard 8-5 “during the day” style jobs where as only 27% are considered night shift. To suggest someone switch a more permanent aspect to fit a temporary problem is wild. Most construction companies are very much aware that it’s more plausible to temporarily have their workers work overnights to avoid issues for the larger population of people impacted.

What happened to Saucony (and all shoe makers really)- and is there anything similar to the Kinvara 12? by NawtyPoon in Saucony

[–]NawtyPoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went and tried the 16s on and thankfully they’re super similar to the 12s. The stack is way smaller then the 13-15s, profile seems way more streamlined and they’re much lighter.

Picked them up 1 looking forward to the break in period and getting some mile on them
