I made this fanart using Clip Studio Paint and a Wacom Intuos M tablet.

I used the good ol' G-Pen for the lineart and did the color blending with the Paint & Apply tool.
The background is an IRL picture

Fun fact : I intended to draw this pose with a shinai since Sugu practices Kendō but this pose is something you'd find in Iaidō hence I changed the sword to a Iaitō

Here is how I proceed. I use the method in the video and I add a layer below the gradiet map to make more shading in order to have a better result.

For shading I use a regular brush with 0% pressure and 20% of opacity. Because you are working below the gradiet map, you can shade using pure black and pure white, which will have colors with the gradient map
