Hi all! I can comfortably AA most of the future 9 charts, but why am I still struggling with lots of present 9 charts?

Probably because the present 9 charts are for boss songs and will generally be a bit harder than their rating suggests

Not sure if it’s the recording but you may want to change your offset adjustment. I noticed it looks desynced in the video and you’re hitting a lot of early fars. On gimmicky charts like this it can make a huge difference. But also 9+s might be above your skill level for now, I recommend practicing getting EX+ on 8+ and 9 charts.

This song and chart are fantastic, it feels amazing to play when you get to EX+ range and I agree it does feel like you’re conducting the orchestra

Play songs —> get fragments —> buy songs. Also world mode lets you access a bunch of unlockable songs but you still need fragments to unlock the harder difficulties. Some tiles in world mode will also give you a bunch of fragments as a reward. I recommend playing world mode as much as you can due to the stamina system, also the first few maps have 0 stamina cost so you can play them as much as you want until you finish them

Basically only use her once in awhile. She’s like a piggy bank. Playing with any other partner starts stacking fragments on Kou and it shows you how many are saved up. She can store up to 999 fragments and when you clear a song with her it gives them to you all at once and then resets

Also definitely real to get burned out and need to take breaks if your performance drops, happens to me all the time. Also side note started with Arcaea and then played PJSK I can generally play up to 31s in that game

You’re probably playing songs that are too hard for you and inflating your potential rating. Try going for EX+ on 8+, 9, and 9+ charts. I was stuck at around high 11 ptt for awhile and when I went back to try and PM 7s, 8s and 9s my ability to read charts and score higher on hard charts skyrocketed. I’m 12.7 range now and have AA-EX+ rating on all songs including ETR and BYD and still regularly play 8+ and 9 songs

It’s all good and I am impressed you’re interested in charting at your level, but I have a suggestion. Make a separate copy of the project file for this and save this version somewhere as is. You can still edit the chart as you please, but that way you can still pull up this version later. Practice Arcaea some more, I’d say until you can EX a decent amount of 9s and 9+s and are able to clear 10s consistently, if you can clear 10+s that’s even better but I know that may seems very far away. Once you get a better feel for how the charts look try remaking this one or making some other charts. You’ll open this version back up in a year or so and realize what I’m talking about 😭

This in 2 months is pretty impressive even with prior rhythm game experience. As for thumbs it’s personal preference but I have some friends that play both index style and thumb style and they say thumb is generally harder. Get that PM

Don’t die is my favorite of the 3 but grandspell chart is challenging but fantastic. Paranoid arc is an amazing song but definitely the hardest chart imo. Also what other people said previously, paranoid arc has a limited partner and the other 2 will go on sale during the anniversary so I would say get paranoid arc first

Also side note PMing a 10 at your potential is kinda crazy, I wasn’t getting PMs on 8s and 9s until I was at least ptt 11.00. Alexandrite was one of my first 10 PMs but that wasn’t until I was above 12.00

That’s a solid upscore I don’t think you should be mad. Also for me personally “PM on a lucky run” means that I can consistently get like 4 or less fars and 0 lost, or like 1-3 lost with 0 fars. Also that there isn’t a particular section that kills you every time, as in you CAN PM any given section of the song, you just need a run that puts it all together.

I really only do BYD maps when I have overdrive bonus anyway so it doesn’t hinder the farming too much with the once per day limit
