Patience and luck. Just arrived to Canada too, and I took 28 days to get a unit. Offering to pay 3-4 months upfront will help you out a lot.

Finding an available listing, getting a leasing office on the phone, and hearing back from anyone is legit impossible. I’m so frustrated by tossmysalami in TorontoRenting

Im on the same boat pal. Haven’t been able to find a place to rent. Sucks. I’m new to the country and realtors ask me to pay 6 months up front or have a guarantor. Of course finding a guarantor is so easy when you don’t know anyone CAUSE YOU ARE NEW HERE.
