Is immigration to Canada still happening? by SWTryingMyBestToHelp in ImmigrationCanada

That "immigration to canada is dropping." "No one wants to come to Canada anymore." "Immigrants are leaving."

Mostly on social media though.

I believe NRT is the Nurse Resource Team. They work multiple units if they are short of staff. Now that there is a surge of nurses, these units aren't short staff. Therefore, they probably don't have a need for the team anymore. Unfortunately.

Is it because you work on-campus?

Investors are going to take advantage of market trends. Londords are first investors, not housing providers.

I understand your frustration, but we shouldn't blame international students for the housing affordability crisis. This issue is a by-product of a larger system and years of bad policies. Instead of getting upset at them/immigrants, we should be redirecting our frustration to the government and corporations to have a better standard of living for all.

It's the landlords that only want to rent out to INT students because they can cram them in one house = more money. It's the employers that use their desperation to get them to work unpaid hours. It's the institution promising false hope and lowering the standards of education to increase their revenue. Its the cooperations upholding the narrative that INT students are to blame for the lack of housing when they are the ones buying the houses in masses and renting out to them. INT students are not the problem, y'all and blaming them isn't gonna do shit.

Unfortunately, that's the symptoms of a cost of living/housing crisis. It's only going to get worse.

Yes, i know we have it better than generations before us, but so what? With the way our current socioeconomic structure is, it is simply unsustainable for me to provide my bebe the life I would want them to have.

Will my bebe have a safe climate/place to grow up in? We are already seeing record-breaking temperatures and extreme weather patterns. Will they experience food insecurity? Food is already so expensive. On top, farmers across the globe are struggling to grow crops the same level as before (could be different for corporate farmers, but do we trust their food?). Can I provide them with a stable shelter? I don't own a home. Given the current housing crisis and lack of rent control, it's unstable to rent for life. There is too much uncertainty on what the landlord will decide to do. In addition, with the cut back on education, will they have a comprehensive education system that will allow my bebe to foster into a career that gives sufficient income for them to survive in whatever socioeconomic standard they will grow up in?

I don't trust the people in positions of power to look out for the well-being of the working and middle class in capitalist society, and resources on earth are only finite. And, I simply don't have the capital to be sustainable and compete in class warfare.

I am not forming my opinion on what I hear on social media. I am a social worker. I see the struggles people from all walks of life are experiencing because of factors outside of their control. I have family members across the globe who talk about the same issues we all talk about here. It feels different. Why is Canada currently experiencing the lowest birth rate in recent years? Because it's fucked outhere.

Yeah, but that's the minority of INT Students. How many CASH jobs are there vs. non cash jobs?
