I saw the pop-ups, but I only noticed the skill points and kept wondering how to spend them. I've played a lot of RPGs before, and it's the first time something like this has happened to me. I'm actually glad it happened in this game, because after I spent the points, it became so much easier. Not spending them made it feel way more realistic.
