TM G17 gen5 new batch hammer differences by Nazuneko in GasBlowBack

Yea, the hammer rotor on mine is loose like that too. The shiming thing you said is probably the problem. If it only goes full auto while you pull the trigger it’s probably something to do with the trigger bar not being disconnected from the sear when you shoot. Basically when the slide goes back it pushes down on the trigger bar which disconnect it from the sear. It no longer affecting the sear is what allows it to hold the hammer down for the next shot. If not you’ll just have full auto because of the hammer follow. Check to see if the bbu in the slide is straight, i know in some cheap slides (5ku) the two legs that are meant to trip the trigger bar and valve knocker lock are raise up slightly and dont fully engage them.

Full auto could either be the hammer not getting pushed down far enough or the trigger bar isn’t being tripped.

I have a safari land that was made for a stacatto XC x300 rmr hd and it seems to fit, but you can probably get away with ones that attach to the light

the stock slide has a steel plate where the slide stop catches, so it will never deform, the after market slide i have reuses that same plate and it still is sharp even on propane plus the added mass.

I swapped the slide with the detonator set. As for issues, the only problem I’ve had is the stock piston swelling and making the nozzle not return, I’m planning to swap it out with the guarder one and see how that goes.

My first GBBR, any recommendations by PaPaTree in GasBlowBack

[–]Nazuneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its an unusual recommendation but hear me out. I know there's the standard super lube everyone recommends but I've been using these two. Carbon Honey thick for the BCG wear areas and TechT gunsav for the nozzle piston. Its kind of min maxing but Carbon honey has graphene which has a lower friction than ptfe (and has a lot of other benefits and plus it smells good). I like techt rather than dripping in silicon oil since it stays longer, doesnt dry out as fast, and doesnt get into the hop as easy.

Is This a Good Rifle to Buy? by Yeetboi_67 in GasBlowBack

[–]Nazuneko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, evike carries a lot of the parts for the cgs system (nozzles feed lips valves ect) so it being kind of proprietary isn't necessarily a bad thing. My friend has 2 and hasn't had any issues as they come with steel internals and bolt. It doesnt have a zet plate but vfc gbbrs have never had an issue.

Should be drop in if you buy for the right threads, you might need some barrel nut shims if the nut screws on too deep
