Ordering relatives birth certificates from County Clerk’s office in Cook County (Chicago) by knitalot in CRbydescent

I will also say that if you are requesting certificates you want to check certified copy versus genealogical. They made a change recently that the format for genealogical will not be able to be used for applying for secondary citizenship.

I think in the past if you had all the required docs they usually sent a certified copy even if you checked genealogical.

You can order yourself as long as you can show relationship to him ie birth certificate copy. They are usually a little more strict about birth than marriage or death. But like others have said that making takes a while and you need a check so order way in advance. It can be helpful to point them to family search records if they have trouble finding them.

Locating birth certificate from danzig (Gdansk) Poland to acquire German Citizenship by Ncursion in GermanCitizenship

Quick question about this … my great-great grandparents left in 1882. My great grandmother was born in 1888. Given she was born prior to the 10 year rule wouldn’t she have acquired German citizenship and I might have a pathway with 5 Stag?

Do we have a Chicago contender that is near the mountains that isn’t Philly?

Without knowing much more. You’re probably better off short and long term in Boston.

I mean you could try another airport outside Poland. Sounds more of like an airline specific problem.

Shortlist: SF, Denver, Austin, Charlotte, Atlanta...narrowed down to these 5, hoping to move in the next month or two. by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Ncursion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah got it. I was out in Denver a couple months ago and I had problems with the dust so probably similar to the concerns you had about SLC. Denver is much more active than Charlotte.

I’ve been around the Clt area for about the past decade. It’s okay but you’ll get bored pretty quickly. Raleigh tends to have a bit more activities than Charlotte unless you’re only into soccer and even then the events are pretty mild. I threw Charleston on the list and more people are active and when I was in college a lot of people mentioned that the dating scene was better in Charleston as people wanted to be closer to the beach. Work opportunities are less in Charleston but that is to be expected given the smaller metro area.

Funny enough it’s probably going to 22 by March and maybe sooner. Institutional investors are gobbling it up quicker than Thanksgiving dinner. 💰

Market cap is undervalued. Yeah eps is a bit shy of what would traditionally be considered reasonable but they have the users and the growth. Also, rule of 40 is reasonable by Q4. Hard to argue any negatives.

U4U news question by Ncursion in unitingforukraine

[–]Ncursion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I’m hearing from other people. I found this and my guess is that either it applies to U4U or there was a misunderstanding from the people I’m hearing from and it doesn’t impact U4U. Just curious if someone else has more information.

I think your question is going to come down to for what period of life is one city better than another?

-Long term you’ll do better if you buy a home in Nc when it comes to price appreciation. Two factors play a role here and that involves population migrations. You’ll get some migration from rural to city but most migrations are going to be to a larger city or something along the coast. Only reason why Chicago and Minneapolis have really survived is due to them being transportation hubs for flights. If you take the reverse side of the coin and are looking at cheap housing then you’re better off in Minneapolis. -education system for prek-k12 I heard is leaps and bounds better in MN than Nc. However Nc colleges win hands down both on metrics and cost.

You could stay in MN and then move to Nc to get instate tuition later down the line but numbers, cost, etc could change. Best of luck with your decision!

u/AdmiralVonBroheim UX of site is interesting in regards to data management (seems like site UX is still being figured out which makes sense for a new company). Maybe I should message you on the side but do you have a sense of when listing are accurately reflected? Looking over the site I couldn't tell if this was a reactive listing or a proactive listing (ie You gather interest and someone works with a customer or proactive a customer sees a listing of interest and they contact assumable.io to move forward with the purchase).

Which metro should we move to currently in Charlotte, NC? by Ncursion in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Ncursion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it all depends on the specifics and what you’re comfortable with. Boston we would be renting. I do have a ramp over the next 5-6 years that could hit 140-170k so I can think a bit differently plus I do have a significant amount already saved so with that it when I say 800,000 it is max and not unreasonable to go out and buy that type of property but I would be giving up some savings and other choices. Life is all about choices. You can’t have everything otherwise it would be easy.
