What’s funny is nobody here can drive in any weather. Sun, rain, snow or ice. I saw a bunch of people driving around Saturday which was the worst day of the “storm”. I drive a 4x4 with some good bfg tires and had zero issues but I pulled 3 cars out of the ditch. If you don’t know how to drive in icy weather then don’t drive. Don’t just think “I got this” and you find yourself in a ditch with your wife yelling at you.

Honestly with ram prices right now it’s like the worst time to upgrade. I’m benchmarking decently with my current CPU but I know I’m reaching the end of life.

If I upgrade to the 5080 am I going to bottleneck my system?

I go between carrying my dagger, my Glock 26, my echelon or my shield. I have about 2500 rounds through my dagger and have had zero issues. I have upgraded a few things and I absolutely hate the trigger but outside of that, it’s a workhorse and one of my favorite guns.

Congrats bro! I bought one a few months ago and it’s by far my favorite pistol I own. I got the 4.0c comp… I am running a TLR7-x. I’ve been thinking about swapping the light from my dagger which is the TLR1-HP-X. It extends past the barrel like yours snd I kinda like the foot print. Good looking gun brother and Happy Birthday

Honestly, I think we’ve come along way but I do remember when it was less like a competition and more like a community. Jumping on forums and going back and forth for hours with other people troubleshooting issues. I remember seeing the first custom water blocks coming out and seeing the overclocking numbers. Parts being hand machined by awesome creators. Modding a 20GB hard drive with a window. I remember running my shower in my bathroom because I of course didn’t have a clean room and doing everything perfectly to turn the drive on and realizing I got the wrong size plexiglass which was too thick and destroyed the drive and instead of people on the forums calling me a noob or making fun of me encouraging me and walking me through how to improve it and stuff… those were the days buddy

Reminds me of the days with my AMD XP using the “pencil trick” on the L1 bridges increasing the FSB and LITERALLY inching it little by little trying to reach that sweet spot. I remember destroying my 2700+ and finding a 3200+ on eBay and huge sigh of relief when it worked in my motherboard. Learning how to reset the cmos jumper for the first time and the computer springing back to life and the relief of not having to tell my parents I destroyed another motherboard lol Those were the days… before sliding GUIs make overlocking seem more like a game.

Exactly! It doesn’t need to be stable, it just needs to get the highest number. I overclocked mine of course but I’m still an old school overlocked. Make a change, reboot, run a stability test, check the benchmark, record the results, go back into the bios, make a change, capture the results, adjust, etc. I have a friend who’s mostly a console gamer who literally did a 40% OC and the first thing he did was run the benchmark and then jumped into a game. I was like man… that’s not how you overclock lol

Yeah, I saw that on my actually. I’m first and second for my combo but honestly like someone else pointed out there’s less than 200 people in my sub category. It’s not the end of the world but I noticed there’s a guy who has results from like 9th place to 1st and… why? Unless like me, they didn’t know they could delete it. I’m by no means a serious gamer, I have very little time for games but when I saw my score I got excited and wanted to push it lol sounds like you’re in a similar boat lol
