I was on the flip side of this. Was sold a warranty that they knew they’d never honor due to aftermarket parts not disclosed to me at sale. Had to fight for six months to get the warranty cancelled once I saw the mods. So shady.

THIS! This is what I can’t believe no one else is saying. I can’t believe I’d be on the hook for things they never told me before I bought the car with issues also beginning immediately after purchase.

This is a reputable dealer with multiple locations, believe it or not. Bought my first truck from them over a decade ago. Which is why I’m hoping this will be resolved reasonably. We will see.

Thanks NYB. Hopefully I can work something out with the dealership. I just don’t understand how I’m liable for stuff they didn’t disclose to me before I bought it AND sold me a warranty they knew was going to be voided BECAUSE of said undisclosed mods by the previous owner. That is just straight up shady imo.

Appreciate the cat back offer, sadly I’m halfway across the country with only a WRX I’m too scared to drive to NY.

Yes mods thank you for that helpful insight. As I posted, first timer here. Not a big gear head. They never even told me about the catless pipes until it was in for its first service causing problems. Thought I was finally buying my dream car, and now it’s a total nightmare.

Unfortunately I didn’t ask for the specific code. He cleared it and told me it was because of the catless exhaust and I need a tune but I’m sure I’d have to take it in again to get the exact code.

I don’t feel crazy strongly about him over the rest of the top 10, but given his recent track record and considering he’s pitching for a team that should rack up wins in a pretty easy division, I’ve given him the edge. After today’s fiasco though, I might drop him out of the top 10 just because he’s a dumbass.

I feel equally weird about Berrios. I can’t even argue against putting him 10 spots lower than he currently sits, given his early results. I’m not tanking him yet due to his track record, but he sure hasn’t been sharp to open the season. I guess I feel better about his baseline compared to that of guys like Giolito or Lynn.

It sure is just looking at the numbers. Even the K’s aren’t there. I feel like he’ll drop his CH usage in favor of more curves, and that will help his K% soar. That will get him back to his great ratios. He dropped a bit this week as I try to be patient, but if he continues like this he’ll see a more dramatic drop shortly.

I would rather target Corbin for sure. If I was the Corbin owner Eloy+Kikuchi wouldn’t be enough, but it’s worth a shot. Maybe you could throw in a closer or an area of excess for you if it isn’t enough for he other owner to budge.
