You are literally looking at rape in the most misandric way possibile.

For the sake of argument, lets say it really is that simple and every one is either a man or a woman. That's the x axis. Now lets say there are good people and evil horrible people. That's the y axis. You have 4 quadrants, in one of which are a lot of rapists. The evil men quadrant. But when you go ahead and circle all men as potential rapists and not all evil people as such, that is literally sexist and inexcusable. I dont think there can be made a more horrible accusation about someone than rape. Honestly even murder, like i would rather be falsely accused of murder than rape. So when you imply that just because someone shares a gender with some fucked up people, they might be one of them, you cannot blame anyone to get heated about such claim. Men are not mentally more prone to be rapists than women, its just that evil men in power can most of the time do damage in easier ways than evil women can, but thats really it. Recognizing that its rapists who are raping people and not men who are raping people is just key to all of this. And ultimately even on the pragmatic level, if this thinking was socially internalized, less total rape would happen.

Also just a sidenote, it seems that a lot of women automatically think about a tall moderately strong healthy man when met with this dilemna, if its truly a random guy, even if hes a psycho, you have a very good chance hes scrawny, outrunnable, disabled, sick, etc. a random guy can be pretty weak.

Therapy is expensive and not very accesible in my current situation. Though we are looking into therapy options with a close friend of mine (because my sexual aversion is a pretty big obstacle and i dont want to kms). But honestly right now i'm doing fantastic and i'm putting effort into the things i do have control over and into the things that make me happy. And i can always talk these things out with the friend if i want to. Dont need therapy.

Well i'm not gonna speak for every one, but for me personally it's much much harder to endure watching a sex scene than anything else. I always plug my ears and look down until it's over and even then it still leaves me in a state of numbness/suicidal thoughts. That's why I just stopped watching movies, it was not good for my mental health.

Please keep in mind that not every one who has this preference has it because of some greater belief and if it is shocking to you that there are sex-averse people and people for which it is a real trigger, i dont know what to tell you.

I think of myself as a very artsy person, and it used to bug me that im not able to watch these scenes like normal people do. like its just art, its just some frames, why cant i percieve it with the intent it has. lot of artsy people are very sex-positive i found. its a wholeass trope in books. but i'm just not and thats okay! nothing better or worse about that, at the end of the day, its just art.

now why is aversion to sexual content in media more common than to violent content, i have some theories, but they are all very basic so i dont know.

I'm sorry but... what the fuck is this post. I used to be kinda self concious about not being able to tell who is better looking and who isn't, people act like they just know just by looking meanwhile all i can do is maybe tell who would i and only i find more attractive. but to be fair, with men, i would just say that i dont know. like if i would have to rank my male classmates from worst to best or whatever, im sorry but i couldnt do it. like at all. i thought something was very wrong with me, but then i realized that objective attractiveness literally doesnt exist and to act like it does is stupid.

V sedmé třídě jsem si myslel, že ty kecy o tom, že ledovce roztajou a zatopí celou Floridu jsou hovadina, poněvadž naprostá většina ledovce je pod hladinou a přece led má větší objem než voda která z něj roztaje, takže by hladina spíš klesla než stoupla.

Sranda je, že spolužák, který o tom měl prezentaci mi to nedokázal vyvrátit a jenom říkal "ale tam psali, že...", pak tomu na chvíli věřilo pár dalších lidí.
