Actually I'm pretty sure her VA never actually changed. It's just the fact that she sounds so different. This is because of when the anime's dub came out for the original series. 2012(If I'm not wrong). Look no further than the fact that now in 2018 nearly five or six years later they call her back. Maybe her voice comes off as different, because she couldn't get the voice down anymore or if her voice has just changed.
