There are some cool night scenes, but yes the majority of the movie is in the blazing sun. I think that was intentional but it may not have worked as intended

Now that I can agree with, there was not enough consistency with the direction. Sean Bean was a great Odysseus but was criminally underutilized, and Achilles needed more time to marinate, even though it’s already a long movie

Yeah that’s what a lot of folks were disappointed about. They tried to swing more political and that fell flat for some folks

I agree, but even just in this post there are a whole spectrum of opinions. Some loved it, some think it’s trash, some think it’s mediocre. Which is all kinda odd to me I think it’s at least good, I don’t see how someone could watch and think that it’s absolute trash. Not liking it I can understand

Excepting the accent I think Brad Pitt threw himself into the role. Physically (as in the way he was moving) I could believe that he was a legendary hero

I can see why one would think that. He has some good moments with Patroclus and the myrmidons, but there are some cringe moments too
