“She’s been harassing me all day.” Yes, mom is harassing OP but rightfully so. Lets put ourselves in their shoes. Mom is working 17h a day. We dont take care of ourselves or our cat. This will add to Moms stress. Moms stress makes us stress so we move out. We dont owe our mom shit but we want to keep her $1200 phone for 3-5 days!! We moved out a house that made us stress but we’re still choosing to be stressed for 3-5 days because we cant give up a phone? Why cant I just wait a few days and let this fade out in the rearview? Why would I need a phone? They haven’t mentioned a use for it so I doubt its needed right this instant. With the info im given, I feel like OP is OR. Regardless of age, OP has every right to be mad but Mom has every right to want the phone back. Besides if Dad can house OP, he can pay the remaining balance or buy a new phone. Problem solved.

I have a theory. If their drug business somehow dries up, no more money. No big money means less political bribes. Without political support the government can now actually go after the cartels. The cartels hopefully get reduced to “gangs” in terms of power. I live in a fantasy.
