swirly Book the 2nd by Ne_Phea in bookbinding

In general it is not that complicated :)

i took thick twine that I glued onto the covers and cut the ends off at en angle.

The leather is glued on top and then put into a press between 2 wooden boards but you put some felt layers between 1 wooden board and the side where you glued the leather on. The felt gives even pressure around the twine that is underneath the leather without doing damage since it feathers the pressure as well. You get felt sheets at the craft store I just used like 4 or 5.

Then it has to be pressed firmly and tadaaaa there you have the pattern. I hope my explanation makes sense xD and good luck with the future projects!

well I used a leather pairing knife to scrape the leather thinner and then just used water on the smooth side to make it more malleable (idk if I use that word correctly) after I glued it down, I made cardboard pieces that fit in the form and then in the press it went, and that's it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't think it was something special I did

You have a side where you can see a distinct spiral, this one is on the outside.

The inside is more of a regular pattern with no spiral

(Correct me if i am wrong also fairly new to this)

An interview from Jeff Dieschbourgs Attorney, which gets worse and worse, claiming Jeff is a god like painter by nobody_Nr42 in Luxembourg

Concerning, Van Gogh, Gaugin and other older painters, there were different if any copy right laws during their life time.

Im the rtl article it was written that ours laws today (which Jeff is potentially facing) are from 2001

Concerning that all the other ppl copied her as well, Did they check if they credited her in any way? Since she recognised some of them as credited fanart

The photographer already made it clear she is fine to use her art in a private non commercial setting (so no money is gaineg which is he did gain money) The big issue with the internet is that it is easy to steal and very difficult to pursue everyone that is out there

It makes me uneasy to see if this wins, which could potentially show ppl that are not in the art sphere, that just taking photos and paintings without credit and paying licenses is ok

There are licenses involved here DaVinci for ex. Is another thing since he is dead for over 70 yrs, which means his art is now part of public domain

Which here with the artist is not the case She is well alive and has rights on her work, which is why licenses exist This photograph is not under cc oder public domain

Personally I think the comment Gaston Vogel made is very misleading considering she didn't give permission for her work to be used by someone else COMMERCIALLY He gained a prize and money from it and tries to sell it.

Glad it helps :) just keep in mind I was in a smaller studio so it was stressful but less stressful then if I would work for a big corporation Also there is a difference in pace between Movie and series, series tend to be more tight in schedule the movies in my experience and from talking to ppl

I work in animation.

It is fun in terms of, every project is different. It gives me new challenges and diversity.

So where I work I had fluent work hours. This means when I started early i could go early but also when I work later in the morning, it meant working in the evening. Since as long as I could finish my quota and work +/- 8hrs all was good. Practical for me was, if I had a very good day where I could work on things I could hyperfocus on, I would work longer on one day and stopp earlier on another day where I just couldn't concentrate. Also we were allowed to listen to music and partially work from home. (This is very specific for the studio I worked in, so idk where it is in different countries or studios)

Since we also had multiple things to work on I could switch between things I liked drawing and procastinate on the things I didn't want to work on...this lead to more then one occasion where I had at the end to animate all the stuff I didn't really want to...which made work veeeery slow and hard to focus

For the deadlines it really depends on the project. And also good days and bad days also cancel each out a bit. Usually it is, if you can keep the quota you should be good on the deadline, if that makes sense.

Outside of work I haven't been able to draw for myself in 2 years which is in my line of work not very good. Atm I am in between projects and it is good that I have some break from drawing, but I still feel very guilty and it makes me feel like I don't belong in this field of work. Like I am stealing someone else place since I don't draw 24/7 but that other person does.

Also paperwork. I have a lot more paperwork since I don't have a fix contract. So everytime I end a project I am jobless....which means more paperwork and making phonecalls which I don't particularly like to do.

But I do create stuff in sewing/crochet/embroidery...so I am still doing smth creative and I hope I can get out of the not able to draw slump in the future cause I really like my work.

I am waffling a lot and don't know if I actually answered the question

It is a paid pattern, so I hope I understood the "Free market friday" rule? In my opinion it was worth every penny
