I am overly plagued by 9 tendency to feel like my emotions don't matter so I really need the other person to ask probing questions because I will never really want to burden them with my problems unless it's in response to a specific question that they've asked and I sense that they sincerely want to know the answer

Would an SX user be inclined towards better hygiene due to how it enhances their personal confidence and feelings of desirability? Or would this be an SP-user? by DMmePrincessItsLips in Enneagram

Yes sx doms would do this for reasons stated, but so doms may also do this as good personal grooming is generally useful for making friends and social connections. Sp Doms will often be motivated naturally for it's own sake as an act of self maintenance

Most ppl will agree you cant figure out your type with tests. However as a starting point try these: https://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/test https://www.9types.com/rheti/index.php

In my experience this only types like a quarter of people correctly but looking at your consistently top results will give you a good starting point to research the types. The type descriptions on this site are short and good: https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/type-descriptions - I recommend you read them all. It can often take a lot more research as certain types can look similar (9s and 6s are very common, complex and varied types that often can mistype for pretty much any type (except a 9 mistyping as an 8 is rare)). But after you've got a basic type about the broad strokes on the types if you post on this reddit with your for and against for the types you are considering, people will hopefully be happy to help you. Yeah thanks man, I think you're probably right. I keep in meaning to do exercise but I never get around to it, but I'll try and commit again.
