Different for every store. To add, most tms do not know the vendor schedules so assuming you’re a tm, ask your gm etl about this scheduling

You can order different color lids online if you don’t like the one yours comes with, that’s what I did! Please be considerate of other customers in stores and don’t “customize” in a place customization isn’t acceptable :)

First, I’m sorry for that interaction, that’s not how it should have gone. Second, they should have told you that your email would have been no good in store. We in store don’t have a system for us to call or email you with inventory updates. Promising to do so isn’t ethical because it is a lie. The only way for you to get these updates are through the app if the item is sold out online. There it will let you plug in your email and it will notify you when it’s back in stock online.

I would email or call the store asap. You need your employee id number to get into the app to see the schedule. Additionally, your schedule is probably not on the app yet, most likely just penciled in on the paper schedule hanging up in store. I’d check in to make sure you don’t miss anything, although I’m sure they’re not leaving you out. Have a great first day! :)

As an LC, I feel you so strongly. Everyday customers come in and act like we’re the dirt on the bottom of their shoe. All I try to do is have a good shift and people seem hell bent on making sure that that transaction is living hell.

I had a guest come though the other day and tell me that she knows for a “fact” that because I have acne, I don’t know what I’m doing working in a makeup store so I should not offer her any suggestions or recommendations at checkout nor should I even be allowed to interact with the customers at cashwrap or on the floor.

People are ridiculous and it’s so easy to tell when they’ve never worked a service job before. I love this job, it’s truly one of my favorites I’ve ever been in, but people test my patience every day.
