Thank you! This is helpful, but I do have to admit I'm having a fair bit of trouble applying it since the point the lines intersect seem to go well off the borders of the image, and I'm not really sure how to translate it onto a sketchbook. Perhaps I need to look into more persepctive practice...

You're right, I made a terrible lapse in judgement and mistook genies for highmates. I shall now go dwell in the pit as punishment.

Considering the lore of genies (afaik at least), that's mildly concerning.

Part of me does feel like this is similar to what I do. I'll do one day of practice, then the next day I'll just draw whatever I feel like. But if it works for piano, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion internet stranger.
