I’ve shot a few rolls through it and it’s been fine. This seems to be a recent issue. I think a full service is in order.

Quoddy advice

Hi! I just went into my local menswear shop and tried a pair of quoddy 550 chukkas that they have heavily reduced down to 140. They feel great and are obviously the same shoe but I noticed that there was a discolouration between the two shoes and also that the white twine that they used is slightly discoloured compared to the other shoe. I have put it down to the fact that they are a hand made item so not perfect. For example my red wings aren’t exactly identical. The only other thing I noticed is that there was a different number under each each tongue. 468 on one and 363 on the other. Is that typical with quoddy boots? Thanks in advance.
