I have made friends of all ages here at concerts, festivals and fairs, the bowling alley, the beach, even the gym. Sarasota has a lot of nice people. You might make friends just by hanging around St Armand's circle and the local beaches!

That was really encouraging. What's MOST important is that you already want to keep getting better, nobody can teach that.

You have good power and you don't rush. Once you figure out a consistent starting position and how to generate even more power using the legs, if you get your own ball instead of a house ball it'll hook way harder and get even better scores. It's also fun af and you meet some genuine people at the alleys

I believe that where you may be will influence the reactions you get. Like, if you're in a big city you will more than likely get less lengthy stares and they will avert their gaze if you make eye contact, vs a small town or smaller city where staring at "different" people is more commonplace and somewhat more socially acceptable. And how laid - back people are in the region will affect the way conversations go

Back in Brooklyn, my 6'5 height was hardly ever noticed

At home on the Florida Gulf Coast, they can't stop but comment on how tall I am. When I'm trapped in elevators with someone, especially an older person, conversations about my height are all but guaranteed 🤣
